so i went to bear creek in the poconos today...and on the way up i past so many camaros.....and this one camaro ss (i think it was an 89)tried to not let me pass him....so i down shifted got into the turning lane and past him and as i came up next to him, i hear him rev his engine and attempt to down shift...but failed miserably...i hear his 4th to 3rd shift do a mad grind.....like it wasnt a squeak...it was a loooonnnng *** screach....like he didnt let go when he heard it grinding....then he backed away about 5 or 6 car lengths and i never saw him again....that manuver that he made just made my day

 

If it was an 89 it was no SS.They were slow as hell.

 

well it was a v8....it had ss badging....wow that made my day even better

 

Well I can put Cobra emblem's on mine and it's still not a Cobra.The 89 V8 Camaro's were Z28's and had a 305 in them that was slower than hell.A 99 SS Camaro though is a different story.

there was no ss in the third gen modle years 82-92.
It was a third gen unless it was an Iroc which could of had an 350 but regardless if it was stick it was an 305.

 

I had an Iroc with a 305.Spent all kinds of money on a rebuild and the damn thing was still slow

camaros suck.. A. they are ugly B. they are pieces of **** C. the ss's and such are still gay... and they will only reliably hold 6-8 lbs more like 6... plus theyre torque and drivline sucks 2.

 

there were also 350s in the 89s.
