Default future list...

hey, as most of you kno, i FINALLY got a GT...moved from the 98v6 to a 00GT and as i get money, i wanna get mods(like anyone elsse on these forums) and I was wondering what i should get first...2nd...3rd...

I figured 1st - SLP xhaust but idk what else to get...ill have roughly 600buks by the end of march...i can get exhaust in about a week...what should i get for 600?

all the above is good stuff to get.. is it a manual (if so you'd want a short throw shifter)

Ill tell you from someone whos spent 4000 on their car in both performance and looks...

buy something serious right off the bat. Like nitrous or a supercharger or something. You can have that venom kit for 600 bucks, then you can work off of that platform for future reference.

lol...it would take me yrs to save for a s/c...and i got 66K miles, isnt that way too much for a s/c anyways?...

i was thinking to get gears(whats difference between 3.73's and 4.10s?) and save alittle more for xpipe...(then maybe Venom 1000 after those 2...)

how much is a good s/c anyways?

4000 for one of the better kits you can get for a stock 4.6, which is the mongoose kit. Venom is a great starters nitrous kit or you can jump up to NX with the bells and whistles for 1000 give or take on what youd like with it.

You want gears? Well read the gear thread because thats what its there for. If you post a stupid question about gears im going to smash you in the head with a brick and empty your transmition fluid.

I hope you listen when we say start big. Right now, a nitrous kit seems to be right up your alley, but i advise that you read up on it before you purchase it so you get an idea on what it does, what it doesnt do, and the risks/benefits are from them.

lol...4K dollars for a good kit...what about the kenne bell? is that as good as the mongoose kit and any price difference?

and i might get 3.73s cause i think 4.10's give bad mileage...

and ive read about nitrous and i wanna just do 75-100 shot tops...but im not sure yet anyways.. and can u have nitrous and a s/c?

there is a kb mongoose kit..but its like 6 or 7 thousand....and MPH has to install it and dyno it...just get the vortech mongoose kit w/ the t-trim for another 250....

I say screw anyone who says 4.10's give bad gas milage.......I have 4.10's no complaints i'm glad I got every bit out of gears i'f I were you gears and a x or h pipe first. for $600

kenne bell kits are 6000.

read the gear thread

can you have nitrous and a supercharger? Sure, but you can change your boost by pullies. Do you understand how they both work? They both introduce more oxygen into your engine. a supercharger pushes more oxygen in, nitrous sprays the chemical nitrous (n2o) in which breaks down to oxygen.
In all reality you dont need both, but yes its possible if you really wanted both.

thats wut i was gonna do, cause im getting SLP in 1-2 weeks, im 50$ short...lol

and which is louder...offroad or catted XPIPE?...and i might get 4.10's but ill go read up on it in alittle...

i COULD do s/c after i get my exhaust and gears done...only visual mods i want is 380R rousch kit...and hood...which ill wait for

If you're plannin on stayin N/A get 4.10's and just take it easy on the gas, there not as bad in that department as people make it sound. Also 3.73s don't do hardly anything in my opinion those gears were in my car and I could'nt even tell, it felt stock to me. 4.10s on the other hand keep on pullin.

I know for a fact that a auto with 3.90s, x-pipe, and exhaust wont break into 13's ....just get 4.10's I've been on mine for about 7 months now and I dont regret it one bit

so would exhaust+xpipe+gears possibly get me into the HIGH 13's? and i was wondering how much it cost to get taillights tinted...

and..i was thikning of POSSIBLY taking of my GT badges...but just an idea...not sure if i should tho

maybe with some Drag radials...I'm at 13.8 with 4.10's, prochamber, slp exhaust, plenum and 75mm t/b, and tune...and some other minor things...but I spin like a mother on my crappy tires at street psi

yeah take off ur fogs too and then u can be a sleeper gt and everyone can think ur a v6

no dont do that only take off the badges if u replaces them with some sick 4.6 badges

i love havn a nice mustang now...i get so many looks and double looks...lol...gotta love the GT

my car runs 13.5 with

3.90s
sct xcal 2
accufab 70mm tb/plenum
k&n filter and no air silencer
street tires and street PSI at 32lbs

If you want to break into the 13s with an auto youll need a higher gear ratio such as 3.90s, 4.10s, 4.30s, and a tune or handheld tuner like SCT or Diablow. Can it be done without it... ? Sure but its more unheard of than heard of.

Like I say, get nitrous first. its like 600 bucks and youll be in the low 13s fairly easily with a 100 shot but like everything, you need practice driving that car and getting more used to it. In the end the best mod you can get is experience learning the car and learning how to drive it.

alot..............full exhaust, 4,10's, drag radials, tune, tb/plenum, U/D pulleys, and if you still cant do it torque converter and you might even make it into low 13's.........maybe depends on the car and driver sometimes....I want 12's so i'm skipping the torque converter and going to nitrous.....yeah :clap:
