Default Weight problem!!

I have a SAWEEEET, but heavy stereo in my car right now. It consist of 2 subs, a 2000watt amp and enough box to house both of them..PICS ATTACHED. I am curious is it is in any way helping me at the track, or If I should dump the set up for something removable. As you can see in the pics the weight is mostly centered over the wheels. Not shown is the amp which is mounted in the back side(trunk area) of the box. Just curious what yall think.

Oh and by the way.. i wasnt totally sure where to put this post so i just stuck it in here... I figured a lot of people would at least see it then.

Every 100 pounds is 1/10th at the track give or take the small amount. I doubt its helping your traction any.

Looks good, I also heard that for every 15lbs it's a horsepower.

Yea i would keep it if it was removable, but It only goes in one way and that involves removing the whole rear seat and bracketry.

If I take it out I think I'll just run one 12" in a nice small box.

my system setup is in my sig and it sounds very nice not banging all the time u can adjust all that

but if u wanna go with a single 12in i would say get a 12in mtx 7500 sub in a vented enclosure and a mtxthunder1000 amp

Doesn't look bad, but do you mind having the extra weight. It's all about weather you want a mustang that is fast at the track or fast all the time. If you want one that is fast all the time, then just leave it on there, but get a bit more power in some way.

ehhh, rather better stated, it helps taking it out on the trac, but if your just driving and listening to music it shouldn't matter a whole lot, ur not guna tell the guy to hold up while you take out ur subs...think of it as racing with a passenger all the time...

Dude, you have to just decide on your "car priorities". Is it costing you at the track? Sure, so is your dashboard, your a/c, your windows and a whole bunch more stuff.

I say leave it, you may be .1 slower, but at least they can hear ya comming.
