wrecked the stang today

I wrecked the stang today, I was driving to a friends house today and it was raining and a douchebag in front of me slammed the brakes and i slammed the brakes and since the streets were wet my car just slid so to avoid hitting him i turned to the right onto the grass and went down a small ditch and skid into a tree. Really sucks, my pops said insurance will most likely call it a total lost because of how bad it was, i was pretty shocked on how easily everything broke, the bumper shattered into like a billion pieces, my hood cracked, my fender dented, the chin spoiler somehow survived it unharmed, both my headlights broke, i dont know how bad the engine is because i wasn't able to pop open the hood, the whole front all sortof shifted and the hood wouldn't open. I'll take pics of it tomorrow. I was really dissapointed with the car, if it is a total lost im prolly not gonna get another stang, im thinking something like a nissan 350z or an Infinity G35.

GREG@94GT 12-18-2005 09:18 PM

ouch... shoulda slammed the butt hole in front of you...

pimpmustangGT 12-18-2005 09:21 PM

Sadd...

I see your going ricer on us....

Btw - be sure thats what you want as power adders for 350z's are lots of $$$$$$

jotun1022 12-18-2005 09:21 PM

yea, that's rough. was he just braking randomly or was there something in the road?

I'd hate to hear u totaled ur car because he thought he saw a squirrel or something.

Mug11 12-18-2005 09:22 PM

Im to dissapointed on the stang, like the cheap material and the traction control, i cant imagine getting into a real crazy accident, the car is a death trap, the cheap fiberglass is sad.

Icefreezen 12-18-2005 09:26 PM

Mt sister did the same thing in the rain. It's a crappy way to wreck a car but at least your ok.

I'll give you $30 for the chin spoiler if its not too jacked up...maybe your rims

if ya think that the mustang uses cheap material what do ya think that the asians use their cars... common now... banboo wasnt meant for a chasis... lol

hey watever floats your boat... if ya want something cheap, easy to work on, easy to make fast, and relatively safe... get an older car... a classic or even a mustang prior to '94...

Badfish 12-18-2005 09:34 PM

holy crap dude! and i just sold ya those rims...oh well man, if your goin rice, those two cars are fuggin sick! ( i love g35s, and im a lil jealous)

good luck man...were your HIDs harmed?

NoKturnaL 12-19-2005 12:08 AM

now let this be a lesson to us, Always keep atleast 3 car lengths between U , and the car in front of you...IN THE RAIN.

Defensive driving with a touch of aggresiveness (in dry conditions) is my formula.

stang00 12-19-2005 09:56 AM

go g35 and mod it if u dont get a stang they are the sickest car ever

all new cars are made like that. they have crumple zones which are supposed to cave in. its meant to slow down the impact. otherwise everybody would have whiplash from every fender bender. i gurantee if you did the same thing in a 350z or g35 you'd have the same results.

stang00 12-19-2005 11:18 AM

without cumple zones you could have died from the force of the impact cumple zones save many lives every yr

That sucks man. The good thing is you came out of this unharmed. Cars can be replaced, people can't. :)

stang00 12-19-2005 11:33 AM

only 15k more?, yeah right dude. Im trying to stick around $25,000. Which is a used 350z.

The sad part about my car was that the air bags didn't go off

Dude, if the airbags diddnt go off and you ****ed your neck up you got a serious lawsuit available to you.
If yer neck is fine then dont try it.

as far as the mustangs being made out of cheap stuff, the car IS designed to take the full impact and keep you safe. You can go with an old classic, but that same wreck would have probably ****ed you all up.

the car is meant to be disposable, you arent.

(its at night, a bunch of other people come down the freeway swerving and ****...) check out the people in it and where they are, its fine... as previously stated, the crumple zones crumple for a reason... to save your ass

all cars are designed to crumple now. I know a few people who have survived horrible accidents in mustangs.

stang00 12-19-2005 02:26 PM

you can get a used 350z with low miles for around 20k and then have 5k left over to mod the **** out of it if your only looking to spend 25k
