Well, lets get this started. If no one is willing to step up to the plate then I will take care of the east coast. I would say SC or GA to PA. I live dead center so that doesn't hurt, VA.

Don't forget, I'm only 17 so I'll try to do my best.

First off - go bengals

Second off - A mustang cruise would be fun as hell, always looking for something like that, and would not mind driving a little bit to meet up with some of you all.

Third off - Anyone from Dayton, ohio area within like 50ish miles??? Just curious.

Well, I guess we should get the area situated first before we establish any organizors or anything. So what should the regions be? Or you guys just want it to be by states?

I guess what we need is a few key people to step up to the late in their areas and get things going. We also should be relaistic about how far people are willing to travel, but imagine a dozen or so simulataneous Mustang cruises?! Would be really cool.

If we get organized well enough, the popular Mustang mags would write a story about the event....hopefully before the event and then afterwards.

We also need to come up with a catchy name for the event....something like:
"Pony Rides for Kids" sponsored by Mustang Tuning.com.

Imagine 10,000 Mustangs or more all getting together for beer and cheer all at the same time. In different places across the country.

I am not sure how exactly we go about raising money, but if we do what the bikers do, they generally ask for a $10.00 donation per car. Some give more.

Now, if Home of Their Own were to get $10.00 for each of 10,000 cars, we would actually be able to build/buy a second isolation home for kids with cancer.

We could also have a format that each Cruise could follow with T-shirts etc... and post all the pictures up on the web.

If we need a PA location, I might suggest Hershey. We could start and stop in the Children's hospital parking lot. I could prolly get a 100+ cars especially if CJ's is willing to help get the word out for us.

I just took a look at the user database and there are quite a few members in the states of MD, VA, WV, and NC. So I was thinking of that being an area. No longer of a drive than like 2 or 3 hours I suppose if we meet in central VA.

That club is fairly active. They do a big show in late May every year if I recall.

I have met the President before, but he may not be the same guy anymore.

This is a really cool idea, and I would definetly make a drive from SE Wisconsin to go. Here's the thing, I know that there are a lot of people on the East coast, but I think that to make this as big as possible, it would have to be held it somewhere in central US, or even a few states over from VA. I just think that only a small number of people would make the trip from the West coast, and moving it over to central US would make a big difference. VA is about a 16 hour drive for me I think, that would be hard to do and make it happen.

We aren't talking about just one big huge cruise. But like regions or just state by state.

yea like shadow said....if we get multiple Mustang Tuning cruises going...we can get more people into it....

how bout this....
VA, WV, MD, DE, and PA

NC, SC, GA, and FL

NJ, NY, CT, and MA

i cant really say for the people west but thats how i think that the east coast should be regioned (ive only traveled the east coast so i have an idea of wat ride times are like)

then anyone that wants to join any one of these regions that are out of it can just tell the head of the region... my $.02

Ideas sound great. I'm only 19 but from Dayton, OH and would love to at least help out with this area or region or state, whichever be said. Here in Dayton there is Kil-Kare dragstrip and in Cincinnati there is Edgewater. Both of which are very popular in the area and are 1/4 strips.

We should just establish all the regions and create a new section in the forums that contains all the regions in it. Then even coordinaters could post up events and he could actually see if people are going to show up and what the plans are for the event.

That is a good idea and I can make it happen. Let's keep rolling in this thread for the time being as everyone is brain storming.

Well, I have a bit of fund raising experience. BTW, we don't have to use my charity, only if that is what everyone wants.

I think it would be a good idea to use yours. Started and founded by a MT member and the charity is quite unique I think.

I agree. Maybe post a link or something to let everyone know what it is about. Afterall some of us may be driving 100's of miles and may want to know exactly what it's for (besides having a great time)

This sounds really cool...Who knows this could turn out to be the "Sturgis" of Mustangs events. Well Im willing to help in any way I can. If I can manage $400 million dollar bond programs, I would be more than happy to lend a hand in setting up things.

I got invited to join a car club. It is a classic car club that wants to expand to later model cars. And the dealship where I bought my stang from wants to start a mustang club. The guy who invited me to join is a serious car crazy dude. He says the dealer wants to get any local mustangs from my town involved and want to be affiliated with this car club. The way he talks this club knows how to run a club and sponsor events. I will talk with him in the next few days and get some insight from him.

It sounds like we should probably do this in the spring of 06. IMHO. Thats when most of us working stiffs can take a few vacation days. Late winter or early spring I say. Plus Va should be a region associated with NC. Mason Dixon line. I will post tomorrow on my findings. Sounds like a great idea. And I'm up for a road trip for a good cause.
