what do you guys think? i heard its really not worth it to pay 250$ for a brand name intake since they all do the same ****. my buddy says i should just get that intake and throw a k&n fliter on it. let me know if u guys know anything about these intakes.

yes, this is a comonely asked question on MANY forums.
They all do the same basic thing, and while the name brand ones tend to be a tiny bit better, you will never feel the difference, and the cost difference can be described as astronomical. you are better off buying the ebay one, and getting springs, and maybe a new shift ****... or a 'fancy' intake. w/e ure preference is. I have an Ebay intake.

I had the ebay one before the blower and it worked fine. I ended up cutting the bend off and made it into a straight shot (the bend into the fender)
So that it was directly behind the headlight and I'd take the headlight out at the track.

dont buy that gay intake. those things will never stay together. theres too many parts to it and the fit is horrible. dont waste your money even if it is only 16 dollars. the factory setup is waay better than that. I knew a guy that had the same one but his was UPR. the same thing as what you are looking to get. He ended up selling it and buying a MAC intake.

As said above, buy yourself a nice 12" filter. I forgot the part number for k&n but you can find it on their website. It will give you a larger filter and remove your stock air box. The difference between that and the cold air intake is very very minimal plus you save tons. Thats the best route...

matt so what exactly are u saying eliminate the box that the filter sits in and just attach a big ole k&n filter to the rubber stock tube and like stick it throug the fenderwelll or what????im a lil confused here.

Yea, its simple. Delete that box and put a nice big breathable filter on there.m Its about just as good as a cold air intake at 1/4 of the cost. Plus if you drag race and remove your headlight, it acts as functional ram air.
