how can i take the gt hood scoop and side scoops off my car so i can paint the honeycomb on them because the faded plastic is killing me............do you think it would work witout peeling or chipping or should i just armorall it all the time????

As stupid as it sounds, something that works really well on faded black plastic is shoe polish. I read it years ago and used it on my faded Bronco top and it worked really well. I have used it on faded black trim in the past also. Maybe give that a shot also.
On another note..Armoral makes your plastic fade in the sun. I use leather wipes on my mirrors and scoops. Try that also.
