Talking 90 vette

My uncle is trying to get me to buy his 1990 vette. It is pretty damn slick and is COMPLETELY stock. I drove it the other day and it is pretty quick, so my question is: Stock Gt auto vs. 1990 stock auto 350 tpi vette, who would win? I think those vettes were rated at 245 hp but have no weight (and you can tell it when you drive it) My friend donny says it is a better chick magnet too.

I'd keep the stang. I'd have to rent another storage building for the vette + I still have my IROC-Z in storage. My insurance company loves me.

i wouldnt waste the money on the vette. they look pretty nice, but the tpi engines are slow, fast off the line but thats it.

post pics of the vette if you have any

From an EX Vette owner I'd say no.The mid 90's and up are alot better. Also when you go to buy parts, the word Vette makes the parts guy smile ear to ear.

put a blower on a GT and smoke C5 vettes

Nothing like beating a guy in a 50K+ car in your 24K car (including mods for me )

Ever hear of a little thing called Corvette Tax? Stay away from the old tpi engines as well. They are bad.

O one more thing as to weight the vette prolly weighs more, i think they weigh about 3700lbs or more in the c4 years.

I'd keep your mustang and maybe save up for a newer vette.... the older vette's are dogs.

I'd get the Vette. Just do the basic bolt ons, slap on a ProCharger, and you've got easy 11s. Stock TPIs are great for daily driving and having some fun with. If you really want to dig into the motor, you can easily build a 383, get some AFR heads, and get a TPI Specialties mini-ram, along with the ProCharger, and run easy 10s.

the 1990 Vette looks sad, corvettes aren't suppose to be flat all the way from the hood to the trunk.
