Default 01 cobra limitations..?

How much can the stock 01 cobra block hold? the guy friend of mine who is selling his says it can only handle like 430 rwhp then you'd need a diff block...is this true? and then he went on to say that the stock 01 GT block can withhold like, 600 hp. It sounds like baloney, but plz tell me if it is or not.

if my car was a manual it would have 430 to the wheels. im sure a cobra block can take more power since it has a STEEL crank.

From an Internal's perspective the stock rotating assembly is only good for 400-450rwhp. Then you're on borrowed time.

The WAP block (99.5+ Cobra Blocks) is good for around 550-600hp.
The Teksid 96-98 Cobra blocks are for all practical purposes indestructable.

a stock 2v will hold 600 hp for about 10 sec. and then it will blow up.

There are huge differences between an 02 GT and an 01 Cobra motor.

GT: SOHC/2V, Iron Block, Cast Crank 260hp 302/ft lbs
Cobra: DOHC/4v, Aluminum Block, Forged Crank 305hp/?ft lbs

Both have advantages and disadvantages but I'd say 400-450 is the limit for about any Mod motor (save the Terminators) before you have to upgrade internals.
