Hey guys .. new here.. going next weekend to purchase my first stang.. It is an 03 GT Convertible w/ the mach 1000 stereo system in it. It only has 5,879 miles and the dealership is asking 17500. for it. Is that a good deal. It has a clean carfax, is there anything I should look for when I go to buy it. You know any common problems, things that usually mess up, etc.. Also is anyone familiar with that mach 1000 stereo... whats it like if you are. thanks for any info.

thats a pretty good deal. your gonna love the mach 1000 sound system - best stock sound system ive ever seen. The Mach 1000 sound system has 4 amps, why 4 i dont know, and two 12 inch subs in the trunk. The amps come on its own rack in the trunk that says Mach 1000. The system also includes 2 stereos on the corners of the driver and passenger windows. Sounds real nice !! i believe it has 1100 watts

The 4 amps in the trunk are just for the subs.

That car is a steal! You need to buy it or I will. They are asking that much for '01's around here these days. That is almost too little for that car and I would begin to worry about the title. Be sure to make sure the title is clean and it is free from any wrecks. That car should be $21-23k.

I know thats what I thought too.. It is at a dealership, he faxed me the carfax and everything was clear on it, he said that he has about 2 or 3 cars a month with that low mileage on it get traded in..
I am taking one of my mechanics with me to look at it though.. I hope everything is right on it.. If so next Saturday I will be a happy new owner..
By the way thanks for all of the info...

that's a pretty solid price at a dealership. I wouldn't buy one at that price private party but it looks good with it that loaded. I'm not a big fan of the mach 1000 just cuz it's so darn heavy. Sounds good though
