Default Got an 04 Mach 1 today!

Well, today I traded in my 03 GT Vert for a shadow grey 04 Mach 1.....I've only driven it about 30 miles so far, but what a freaking kick in the pants! I can't wait to start modding it.

I'll have pictures soon.

I love the azure blue....so are you going to get it?

Yeah, I noticed a huge difference in power in the 4v heads. The first time I really got on it the damn thing scared me a little bit cause it just took off! ha ha. I already miss the short throw of the Tri-Ax so it might get installed tomorrow along with a Predator tune. Probably won't get much out of the tune since it's stock, but every little bit helps.

Do the 4 valve engines respond better to simple mods like CAI & Catback than the 2 valves?

I dont know if Im going to get it or not. I think Im going to shop around. One thing though, it's so much quieter than my gt. I guess Im going to have to put on some SLP's when I get one

Hey jjt, I just noticed your from Dublin. Im from the concord area, Martinez to be exact.

Holy crap that is fast! I was reading a MM&FF from July 04 that said you could take that little "milk jug" thing off and plug it up and that would get me 6 rwhp. The thing that makes me nervous about modding it is that the a/f ratio gets all jacked up pretty easy, and it's so damn expensive around here to get pulls.

swervo01GT, I actually got the Mach at Dirito Brothers in Concord! Not sure the street, but it's off willow pass. It's nice to see a fellow bay area guy on the forum. Most of these guys are from the mid west or east coast. If your interested in getting a mach try craigs list, there are a few of them for sale with really low miles.

Guy around here has an 04 mach 1 thats pretty modified at the moment, and should be coming out a total beast by the end of winter. Heres a picture I took of it. It runs 12.5 @ 109 n/a.
