Question New car and some questions.

I no longer have the blue vert do to wireing problems. I now have a black 02 mustang Gt with some mods, and I don't even know what half of them are. I do know that it is loud as hell. Any way I think it might have gears in it and I was wondering if you guys could tell me an easy way to check to see if it does? Also my speedometer doesn't work at all, the hand want move, any ideas what could cause that. also who ever had the car before me drilled wholes in the honeycome hood scoop grill, took the hood liner out and drilld a few wholes in the hood to make the scoop functional, could this cause any electrical problem if rain or something got in it? Don't want anymore electrical problems.

Well thats all questions i have right now sorry about how long it is.

Oh, yeah I'm supposed to get a digital camera after school tomorrow, so I will post some pics tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks,

Travis M.

jack your car up and rotate your driveshaft and compare to one full turn of the wheels. If your driveshaft rotates a little more than 4 times, you have 4.10 or 4.30 gears, or if its a tad under its 3.90s. If its about 3 and 3/4 you have 3.73s. About 3 1/2 times is 3.55 gears. If it rotates about 3 1/4 times, you have stock gears which are 3.27s.

I was gonna say to check one of the gear calculators (there's one around here somewhere) and see what your RPM's are at a given speed.

So you went from a car that had wiring issues to one that has other issues. Why not find one in good shape.

The only thing wrong with this car that I know of is the speedo. As for getting a car with no issues, everyone that I live with has bad credit wich prevents us from going to a dealership, but I have a family member that sells cars. So I take what I can get.
