My dream car...FOUND!
hey everyone.
I know i'm not a big time poster here, but I figured you all would appreciate this.
After the release of the movie Gone In Sixty Seconds I fell in love with the '67 Shelby GT 500. Since then, it's been my dream to either be able to find one to restore or find one that has been kept up. Well, as of 2 nights ago, that dream has been realized.
There is a person living in Michigan who is selling his 1967 Shelby-American GT 500. However, for me, there are 2 minor problems... 1) the price. Valued at almost $105,000 and asking price of $135,000 there is no way I can ever afford that. Problem two, very minor, is that it is an automatic transmission.
So, that's my dream car...Found...

That is the one I wanted too but for 135k you could buy the new Shelby Cobra and build a clone 67 Shelby. I might do a clone sometime in the future as I want to drive it and with a 135k investment you would cry for every tiny chip or scratch at least the clone you would worry less and enjoy it more.
