Mustang week starts Tuesday! I'm going down there and hopefully finding a lot of Mach-1's to listen to, so I can try to find the best sounding exhaust for mine. Never been before, so pretty excited. Anyone on here going?

Just thought I'd throw that out there, cus I'm bored and haven't posted in a while.

In other news, I had some cobalt looking car challenge me to a race a few days ago.
Was minding my own business at food city, when he pulls up next to the mach, revs at me, and says "let's run'em!". Not only that, but he wanted to go from a dig. So I agree, but tell him I still have the factory tires... 2003 goodyears. No chance at launching, but it would still be fun to see what happens. This gets him a little cocky... he has one of his buddys meet us there, and as his friend is getting in the car with him, he's saying "oh yea, just wanted you to ride with me while I beat this mustang!"

I was offended. I drove my v6 stang for 5 years, and still drive it. I'd never think of challenging a gt, ss, or any other car out of my league... because I know my place in the food chain, as long as my car is fairly stock. But these 4 banger guys in my town aren't humble at all, and rev at everyone they see like it's nascar or something.

However, the v6 was at home this night. Armed with the mach, we line up. I'm in 1st, but leave traction on, due to the old tires. He honks 3 times, with this cheesy grin on his face. Then we go... I ease out, like going to church or something... but get on it hard after im at about 7-10mph. Traction comes on, but it was pretty warm that night, so she takes off, and I hit second right at 6,800rpm. No mercy, lol. I beat him so bad it's not even funny. Bus lengths. I slow down, to let him pull up next to me, see if he wanted to go from a roll... but he just flies by me and leaves. I see him later at walmart, ask if he wants to try it again, cus hes still talking cocky. He says sure, ill wait here for ya. I come out of the store 5 minutes later and hes gone.

Sorry for the long post, but I thought it was worth sharing. Maybe I killed a little boredom for you. I normally wouldn't post anything about beating a 4-banger. But what gets me about this race, is that he challenged me, and talked a lot of ****. He started it... I finished it. Kids these days....

 

What a ******* homo. I have never been down to Myrtle either and I'd like to go. I am however going down to AM's annual show in PA in August; bit of a closer drive to me.

 

I'm at the resort right now. Meet and greet tommorow at broadway at the beach. I'm pumped to see all the stangs.
