I've been kinda busy this summer, but just wanted to tell you guys about my new plan.
I've been driving around in an 01 V6 for almost five years now, and have finally decided it's time to upgrade. I've started a savings account at the bank, and will save my money for about 10 months (till next spring) until I have atleast 5k-6k for a down-payment.

I'm dead set on getting an 03/04 Mach 1 with low miles. My budget will be about 16k-18k. And I've already got the go ahead from the parents. My dad even suggested that selling the V6 could get me some extra cash, but it's right at 90k miles now.

My questions are:
-Where should I look for a Mach when I'm ready to buy? Internet, or contact a dealer?

-I know how to spot a fake Mach 1, but is their anything else I need to look out for? This will be my first time buying on my own.

(I know it's kinda pointless to post right now, since it's going to be a while till I'm ready to buy, but I'm really excited about finally upgrading, and need all the tips and help I can get. I have 1k in the savings right now, and as long as I handle the payments on the new car, my parents said they will take care of insurance)

 

Why not just 4V swap the V6?

 

I don't have the time or a garage to do a motor swap, but I have thought about it. In the end I've just decided it's money I'd rather put towards a fairly stock Mach 1 that I could mod the **** out of.

I may even keep the six if I'm able, because I've always planned to turn it into a project car once I get another daily driver. I'd be posting 20 threads a day getting you guys to help me with a motor swap. lol
