I came across a site for nothing but matte/flat black cars and was talking with a couple of guys at work about it. I really like it when done right on the right car but a couple other people HATE it and say it makes the car look primed and unfinished. So what do you guys think? And a couple examples I like.

 

The matte black as always been the shitz in my opinion. I think it looks good on anything, even the Space Shuttle.

 

The bentley looks sick! I'm doing my decklid matte black next week. Ill put some pics up!

 

Only looks good on lamborghinis and **** like that.

 

I have some matte black accents going on my car this weekend but I'm not so sure they will stay on long.

 

Yeah I'm the same way but that's the theme I'm going for so I'm hoping it looks the way I picture it haha.

 

The ones you posted look fine. Most cars look like they are simply primered. There was a flat black e92 M3 at the last track day I did and it only looked decent. I was parking spot neighbors with a guy that weekend that had a regular gloss black e92 M3 and it looked better IMO.

 

Yeah, I know what you mean. there is a Scion Tc around here that is painted matte black and it's a little blotchy and doesn't look very good.

I think the ones that look almost perfect are either painted by great painters that charge a fortune or they are vinyl wrapped to get the look. Here is a Ferrari that is getting a wrap.

I really like the matte black finish on sport bikes. I seen a matte black Ducati 848 the other day and it too bas awesome.

They won't ever bring those cars over here for one very good reason. It would create too much competition for the Mustang. I would happily take on over a Mustang.
