Oh, it is definately going to happen. It will start with fleats first and then be enforced or sold by insurance companies. Eventually, this will become the law....though may take many years. That's my prediction.
I guess you gotta see the upside. It will be harder to steal a car, car-jack someone, steal little kids, etc....
BTW, I love On Star. I don't think I will ever have a family car again w/o it. We have had it three years in our car and used it for an emergency on a number of ocassions. Including once for an emergency blowout, once when running to the emergency room when my daughter had something lodged in her throat, and another time when she got into some pills when on a camping trip. There were no phones and the cells did not work, but On star did. On each ocassion, we had help w/in minutes.
The pills she got into turned out to be nothing serious, but we did not know what they were. Very scary situation.
