Default Stack Racing parts.

A few of you guys lately have been hating on Stack Racing. I am here to tell you they are some of the highest quality parts available. I would even rate them a notch above OEM Ford parts.

Well I guess nobody wants to play along with my April fools joke. Obviously I don't really think Stack Racing is better than Ford parts or any parts for that matter.

Here are the SR center caps that I have had on my car for almost exactly two years. The front wheels had the clear centers and the rears had the foggy ones so it wasn't the sun that caused the damage. In the clear ones you can see hw the lettering was starting to bubble and look pretty crappy. Needless to say I was thrilled to replace these with the factory running ponies.

LMAO! I'm sorry for missing out on your joke. But...you did have me going there. I hate to see stuff like this. Obvious point of poor product R&D.

Oh I paid for it alright, It took me an hour to change all of those damn caps. I will be sticking to OEM Ford or known high quality replacements from here out.

You have to take the wheels off to get the old caps out. I have a shitty jack that BARELY fits under my car thanks to the lowering springs. And on top of all that the tech that replaced my tire a few months back used an impact wrench that must have been designed for Mac truck lugs or some ****. You should have seen my poor lug wrench trying trying to get them off. It was not nearly as easy or fast as I had expected LOL. Oh and I did it at night with my wife holding a flashlight for me.

"No hun aim the light there"
"No over there"
"just give me the light"

It was fun.

I was going to respectfully disagree with your initial post, Matt, and then I saw that you were kidding.

Stack Racing parts are pieces of total ****. I've had their 8" shorty antenna for probably a little over 2 years. Around 6 months after I got it, it started to rust. Now, the entire antenna is rusted. I just took it off my car. I'm going to get my dad to sand it down and repaint it at the machine shop he works at. I'm not spending $20 on another one of those *****.

I also got their black billet upper and lower grilles on my car. I remember paying a good $150 or so for those. They've been on the car since November of '09 and they're already completely oxidied and they don't even look black... they look grey. The screws started rusting soon after it was installed.

I ordered their plug in sequential lights. They were incredibly easy to install. They looked awesome as well. They worked for a total of 2 or 3 days. I installed them on a Saturday morning and they worked then. Sunday afternoon I went to show some friends and they were working then. Monday afternoon when I was at work, a coworker informed me that I had no brake lights whatsoever, except for my 3rd brake light. I was livid. I sent them back to AM and I got a refund instead of a replacement.

Needless to say, from now on, if it's a Stack Racing part, it will not be allowed anywhere near my car. I wish people should stop buying their shitty stuff and put their sorry asses out of business.

And yes, I know I'm late replying to this, but I don't care! :P

That ******* sucks. I don't expect aftermarket parts to last 10-15 years but they should sure as hell last longer then the garbage that SR is cranking out.

It's good to see you stop in Val.

Well, if you pay the right price, you can get parts that will last the lifetime of the vehicle. I fully expect my Maximum Motorsports parts to last longer than anyone will drive the car. I bought cheap *** parts for my v6 Mustang and learned some lessons. I don't think there is anything on my GT that I wish I had spent the money on for a better quality part. I just wish I had gotten someone different to weld my SFC's, paid out the *** for a shitty job.

I completely agree with you. It's just that for some parts there are no good aftermarket alternative. When it comes to motor, suspension, and most body parts their are quality parts available, in which case I'll spend more money for the better part. I recently tracked down a set of new old stock (NOS) Bullitt side scoops rather than buy the fiberglass ones that are sold on Ebay for $80 because know I'm buying quality.

I think all of the aftermarket head lights, tail lights, and a few other parts I can't think of right now are just trash. I am considering going back to stock 04 head lights because my smoked aftermarket ones are already oxidizing all to hell.

I've always been around. I may not post much anymore, but I check this crazy-*** place out often. I tend to be more of a lurker nowadays.

I totally agree on all points. I know most aftermarket parts aren't going to last that long but damn, I do expect them to last longer than a few months like these POS things do. Never again will I purchase anything Stack Racing. I shouldn't have even gotten started on them!

And thanks!
