Apple is just the biggest definition of sell-out in the world. It's a social status, not a company.

Truth is if Apple made water, and it was ONLY sold at Apple Stores people would be flocking in to stock up on it every week. America.

It's popular, yes. But that doesn't take away from the fact that it's a quality product.

Agreed, but you're going to tell me that everything else out there isn't a quality product?

The reason an iPhone out sells an Evo 4G is because it is higher quality? BAHAHA! It's because of the status people think it gives them. They feel "prestigious".

It's just now getting on a "quality" carrier. So I concur partially with that statement.

Image + Proprietary + $$$$$ = Apple.

Pick any Mac... cut the price in half... Go buy PC parts with that money and what you will have is a machine that DESTROYS any Mac.

Its quality stuff... but it is in every case, twice the price it should be.

haha, I was just thinking the same thing. How is it any slower? It's the same damn phone but CDMA. The network might be a tad slower, but you will actually be able to make calls now.

Apple does make quality stuff, but they'll innovate something and then just reuse it over and over again. The main thing the iPhone had over any other phone at the time it came out, was the touchscreen. It had perfected that, but now every other touchscreen is just as good. The average consumer doesn't try out different things for themselves. They see whats popular, what their friends tell them, how much the news hypes something and then they go buy it.

They way I see it, when buying a mac, you're basically paying all that extra money for the OS. They use the same processors and pretty everything else a PC does, but sometimes for than twice the cost.

And where were these tests done in field to their respective towers?

How many other phones in the area were using the same tower?

Did they use their left hand to hold it? (think about it )

Fact is, you can actually make calls now. I don't know about you guys but 1mb/s is enough for me. I don't stream netflix to a three inch screen 24/7.

WGAF... I loved my itouch... but every Mac Ive ever used was an over priced, under-featured, under-powered mess of one man's vision and the rest of the worlds incessant need to do what the cool kids are doing.

I would rather have Verizon's slower network without the ability to do simultaneous voice/data than have a million dropped calls on AT&T.

Exactly. We all know AT&Ts speed is faster, but you whats the point when you can't really make calls. Krenogin, you can't really say Verizon's iPhone is slower than AT&Ts iPhone. It's not the phone, it's the carrier's network. Either way i wouldn't want the phone on either network.

I didn't read any of the above posts, but i would definitely go with verizon if i lived anywhere else but here. AT&T service is great here. I've been all over and it has sucked, but its good here.

Regardless, my company is switching to all verizon next month, so i'll be having an verizon iphone anyway.

I can do simultaneous voice/data on my Droid on Verizon's network, what's stopping the iPhone?

No sir. I've been in the middle of a phone call and had to use 3g at the same time on several occasions. For example, talking to someone about what movie to see and looking up showtimes/tickets, or googling random things during a conversation.

****. AT&T service is very good here. Better than Verizon. So i'm getting the same/possibly worse call quality, but slower interwebz and download speed? FUUUUUUUUUU.

yeah thats cause verizon still sucks.

i dont understand all this junk about AT&T and dropped calls, ive used them for abou 6 years now, dropped maybe a handful of calls, usually cause i drove through a dead spot.

i can say the dropped calls are probably less than 2% of my calls though
