Angry Slow down and smell the roses

A week ago I ordered a new mattress set from a large retail chain. Well today was the first delivery slot that worked with my schedule. The delivery guys were in a big rush. They take the old bed out and bring the new one in within 5 minutes (and I'm on the third floor). After they leave I go to put the sheets on my new bed and.......................They delivered the wrong damn mattress I ran out to stop them and they were already gone.

This lady calls my phone a few minutes later to see how my delivery went. When I told her they delivered the wrong mattress she laughed at me. I am pretty sure she thought I was joking around. She puts me on hold to see when they can bring the correct set out. She comes back and says the next delivery slot is on the 9th which is a BIG inconvenience because I am getting married on the 12th and have other things that need to be taken care of. Ughhh this is so irritating. Now they have a useless mattress (they can't resell after they are opened) and have to spend the gas and time to redeliver along with my inconvenience all because someone didn't double check what got loaded on the truck.

End rant. I just needed to vent.

I don't blame you on the new mattress for the marriage.

Well, I don't see an incorrect mattress making me mad, but I can see how the whole deal would **** you off. If it were a car part or a service that was done incorrectly, I'd be smashing faces in. I can't stand people who take forever to do something, or try to rush and do a bad job. Used to work with a guy, we did the same job. He would rush everything and do a sub-par job, while I'd take time to do everything perfect. The problem was I'd often have to go back and fix his mistakes.

I agree 100% ! Yeah, they got your money and they had time to count it but didn't have time to make it right.

Just call them up a couple of weeks after the wedding and tell them the new matress got "pecker tracks" on it and you would like a new one.

Do all the things you might wanna do on the to be returned mattress that you would never do on your own mattress.

You got to get nasty with them sometimes.. If you have your documentation, Then call and ask for a manager. If they can't deliver ASAP, like next day, Tell them you want a full refund and mattress to be picked up. Or, You WILL call your local troubleshooter news person, ( Everyone has one of these I assume). And you will no longer do bidness with them.. Tell them "You Mean Business". Like that lawyer commercial...

Well they made everything right. They delivered the correct mattress on Friday. The delivery crew ( different crew than the first one) was in such a rush that they almost knocked my tv off the stand. In the end I demanded that they deliver the bed sooner than they said they could an they accommodated that. All is well that ends well I guess.

I didn't lose any sleep over it
