ya, i finally got my evo last thursday. i made the switch over to android from my touch pro2 that i loved to a samsung moment. loved android hated the samsung moment. i have had a hard on for the evo since it came out i just never wanted to spend 2-300 dollars and loose out of my no contract stage. i finally got fed up with my moment and switched back to my touch pro 2 about two weeks ago. then last week i heard target had the evo for 99.00 with a upgrade if your eligible. i took my moment and put it up on craigslist for 100 dollars thursday morning and that afternoon i met someone right around the corner from a target. got it thursday and have loved it ever since. who else has one? anyone used the video chat yet? the 4g in austin is pretty good. i notice a big difference over 3g

 

Congrats! My next phone is definitely going to be running android. I'm tired of dealing with AT&T and am ready to switch to verizon.

 

i think android will take over most of the market. it all depends on how well the new windows phone does. android is becoming pretty popular now days. more and more devices are comming out with android. there will still be those businesses handing out blackberries but on personal levels i think android will be the top seller before too long. it is actually a linux based operating system. the new notepads comming out are running android. you can even run it on your pc now days

 

I think I'll be making the switch as well in May when I can upgrade. I'm on Verizon and they will be announcing a 4G phone at CES. It looks like it will be the HTC Incredible HD, or what they call now the HTC Thunderbolt. I believe it should have the same specs as the EVO 4G, but I'm hoping it's a bit better.

I'm hoping by May there's some pretty cool phones using NVIDIAs tegra 2 chip. Dual core processor in a smartphone should be pretty damn sweet.

My brother has the Evo, it is definatly a sweet phone.

I have the Samsung Galazy S Captivate(At&t) and it rocks. AT&T being a bunch of dicks limited a few things like tethering, but once you root it you can do any of that ****. I even overclocked that bitch and it runs fast as hell.

Why all the hate on AT&T? I get unlimited data for $20 bucks a month (grandfathered in), no issues with dropped calls or bad coverage, i get 3g full service about everywhere i go. All i see is complaints from at&t but ive never had any issues.

I saw my bro using his EVO on 4G and honestly i diddnt think it was all that much faster than my Captivate on 3g.../????
