I've had this game pre-ordered forever. I can't wait for to finally come out. I'm a Nascar fan, but I'm really excited about rally racing being a part of this. We'll definitely have to set up some MB races.

Can you mod your cars in this game? I can't find a straight answer anywhere. Like, If I have a V6 mustang in my garage, could I go a twin turbo setup with it if I wanted?

I would very highly doubt it. It's Gran Turismo, not Forza.

This. You can mod them, but just basic stuff. No serious things.

Hell, you might not even be able to do basic mods. I wish it'd learn from Forza....so much better IMO.

But I will get it so I can use my $400 steering wheel...lol

I thought that Forza was alright. Not mind blowing by any means, but it was okay. I definitely think that modding should be a feature of the GT series someday. But for now, Grid > Forza.

Im considering it heavily. Been wanting a racing game recently pretty bad, although Medal of Honor comes out tommorow.

I played the prologue last night and I'm not impressed... I don't have a PS3 so I wouldn't even be considering it anyway, but as far as I'm concerned it was pretty lame. Forza still blows it out of the water as far as I'm concerned.

The PS controller platform still boggles my mind. I don't understand why they have stayed with the old crappy format as the original Playstation. The controller itself is enough to make me stick with my 360. You have literally no throttle control with the controller unless you like to use the stupid joystick for brake/throttle which I just can't make myself do.

Didn't GT5: Prologue come out like 2 years ago?

Holy ****! GT5 is FINALLY coming out?? Damn it's about time. It was suppose to be out like a year after PS3 launched. I liked GT2 and 3 , but then it went downhill. Same old crap, just bumped up the graphics a bit which doesn't make a racing game. Of course you can mod cars Gran Turismo. You always could. Now can you do engine swaps and all that stuff, doubt it, but you'll be able to supercharge and turbo cars, but I don't think you'll be able to do it to all of them.

Forza > GT. Enjoy driving your Prius. Yes GT5 has a Prius in it.

I believe Prologue came out like 4 years ago. That was Sony's answer when they pushed back GT5.

It also has 900+ other cars whereas Forza only has what? 300 or so?

I'll take the 300 great cars over the extra 600 shitty ones.

edit** Actually Forza 3 has 400+

I'll take quality cars over quantity. When you play the game, tell me how many of those 900+ cars you actually buy or use. Hell the last one had a god damn Model T. Now tell me, why the hell would you use that in a racing game? It's just fluff to try and show off how many cars you can pack into a game. Don't get me wrong, GT use to be a great series, but the mechanics haven't changed and it's all about how nice we can make the cars look now. And I think it took them 5 games to finally add lambos and ferraris. Just be careful when you are in a fully built car going into a turn, you'll have to slow down way back and come to almost a complete stop before making the turn. Unless they finally changed that.

I wish I could say something really cool about GTs physics opposed to Forza, but I use a controller for both, and thus lose a bit of the racing simulator-ness.

Logitech sells the most bad *** wheel in the world. And thats the one I have. I can guarantee you that there will be a new wheel out for GT5, so you might want to hold off.

I wish I had a wheel, but I can't spit out the $300+ for a decent one, nor do I have any place to put it. I had a wheel way back when I played on the gamecube, but I had to set it on my lap and it was very uncomfortable. One of these days I will explore more affordable, and comfortable ways to enjoy the sim experience.

I was never really a fan of the racing wheels. While they are pretty cool, I like just using the controller. It's just easier. Plus if I really want to use a steering wheel, I'll just hop in my car.

By the way, anyone picking up Medal of Honor today?

Easier yes, but I will say that Forza got my adrenaline pumping pretty hardcore using the steering wheel and playing like six feet away from a 50" screen lol. Plus its not like I can just jump in my car and drive to Nurburgring.

I'm not getting Medal of Honor, even though its very different from the others I always felt like it was the "Halo" of the realistic games. Stuff was always so stupid in MoH games, especially when compared to CoD.

I will be getting Black Ops, and Fable III. Then turn into a zombie from playing Fable and exploring every inch of the game.

True, however it would be badass if you could just drive right over to Nurburgring. I never really played any of the MoH games, but I had the beta for the new one and it was pretty sweet. I'll be getting black ops as well, but I'm getting tired of Activision's dumbass decisions to charge half the price of the game for two map packs. Complete bullshit.

I've never played any MoH games. I'm more of a racing and sports sort of gamer anyway, but I loved the battlefield series, so maybe I'll go out an get it sometime. I'm still debating whether or not F1 2010 is worth the time and effort to go get or not as well.

Agreed. I've yet to buy a map pack, but its like when you don't it takes so long to find games online and you can't play with your friends if they have it. Whats even funnier is that they say its for the labor....yet half of them are maps from older games just remolded...really?

**** 'em. I will probably rent MoH, and depending on how many of my buddies get it and play it hardcore I may. But I have a feeling once Black Ops comes out it'll take over. Especially with the new game modes!!

One in the Chamber FTMFW!!!

King,
F1 2010 was really hard for me to use with the control, especially when playing on the harder difficulties/tracks. Too touchy with the controller IMO. But, it is an F1 car lol.

Yeah that whole cost for labor **** is bullshit. Half of the downloadable content is already included on the disc you already paid for. You're basically paying for them to unlock it so you can use it. I'm fine paying $5-10 for a solid map pack of 5 new maps or so (would be nice to throw in a few new weapons too), but $15 for 5 maps, 3 of which are old. Bullshit.

And they know it too, which is why over time they eventually become free. But still, CoD has the most expensive Downloadable Content, but yet gives you the least for it lol. Fable and other RPGs give you entire new worlds for like 5-10 bucks, versus just reused maps and maybe two new ones. That are probably created by interns for free lol.

Yes. **** COD map packs. I just bought Sonic 4, which is like 15 maps for the same price as 5 cod maps. I hate when all my friends buy that ****.
