I just got smoked by one the other day,but I don't think it was stock and I let off way too early with a 3 car lead from the start.Got a little overconfident and relaxed and then I heard something that sounded wierd and he blew past me.Won't underestimate one again.

i hate to say it but you are going to lose. thats unless you can powershift better then a shift cart and get the tires to hook up with a 3k launch even then you would barely win. guys in srt 4's are some cocky bastards until you hand their asses to them. good luck.

Srt-4
SRT-4 has a power/weight advantage, and if you ever race on a roadway, do the following rules:
1. Always run from a dead stop - from a roll they have the advantage
2. Always establish a finish line - preferably 1/4 mile or less
3. Don't believe them when they claim to be stock - eyeball their turbo, exhaust and wastegate if you can - Dodge and the aftermarket have a number of bolt-on upgrades that really enhance their turbos, and most of the aggressive owners have done some or all of these to their cars
There were 2 such cars on my daily commute - I say were, because I passed both of them sitting on the side of the road with smoke rising from their toasted motors. I stopped to offer assistance to the driver of the black car (the bozo with the yellow car can walk home - we have a history) - he had only 6000 miles on the car and had put an upgraded turbo kit, exhaust and tune (including bypassing the rev limiter, I bet) in it. Blew up within a week.
He was hoping the dealer would give him a new motor under warranty, and seemed surprised when I suggested he refit the old parts - seems he sold them to a nice guy on ebay...
Duh.

stage???
Well two be honest if they ordered a stage 2 or 3 mopar kit from factory they are still stock and i dont think alot of mustangs could touch a stage 2 and according to a guy that drives a blue stage 3 the people from dodge said the stage 3's run a 12.4 in the quarter.......

Stage Stock?
Dodge doesn't void the warranty when they add a stage 3, etc? Ford does with their FRPP stuff. Buy a go-fast part from Ford through the dealer, have them install it, and they smile, take your money, and make sure you know you just voided your warranty. This applies to cobras who upgrade their blowers, including the whipple item FRPP sells.
I find it hard to believe that d/c will replace a blown motor, even if they did sell them the parts to destroy it with.
