Definitely a hot car. Also definitely not under warranty after you plunk the new go-fast goodies in your stock (non-staged) wheels.

Look at who's hands the Neons are in a majority of the time. Pimple faced 16 year olds who can't drive.

I ran one in the 1/8 a couple times before the blower and smoked it good. I didn't even have the drag radials back then. I think I just had a cat back.

Those things are horrible off the line. Some sticky tires and you will get a big jump on em, just hope that you can hold onto it.

This guy in a neon with a stripe down the middle started to call me out until he rolled his window down and heard the Procharger and cams sounding menacing over his sewing machine idle. I love my s/c and cams. It shuts them the f*** up everytime. :cool:

Man do I dislike those cars. They are just fast enough for owners with ricer attitudes to actually believe themselves. I mean, seriously, a compact car with a turbo is still not a pony car. Make sure to remind anyone after a loss that his car will never EVER have the potential your car has under any circumstances. The fastest built up SRT-4 ever will always be slower than any number of built up mustangs. In every case, period. And on top of that, it'll never sound or look anywhere near as cool. It's not a rally car either like an STI so basically, it's only good for the road where it is clearly inferior to a Mustang. The SRT-4 is the neon what the GT500 is to the mustang. Make sure the owners recognize what a crappy base their car is built on. If I actually wanted a car on the same level as an SRT-4 I'd throw a turbo on a focus... and that focus would still be a better car! HaHaha....

Edit: Hmm, I guess since this isn't the smack talk forum, ignore the above part of this post. If you really want to beat him without a poweradder, it'll take some work. Just do your basic bolt ons, good gears, and get a tune with some extra timing (then stick with premium gas on that tune). Good rear tires at 20 psi, a cooled down motor, and removal of any extra weight would help quite a bit.

Ive been reading it on KC-Mustangs :) If I don't have too work I'm going to try and make the cruise for sure.

if you are going to race like they said start from a stop because if on the interstate he will stomp ur ass because the have crazy top end due to the turbo and all they really need is a boost controller to boost there H.P.

I love thier whole attitude about how the SRT 4 will "SMOKE" a mustang. yeah buddy the reason you won is because yer an ignorant little bastard who will bloe his tranny in less than a year. Lets see where yer screaming car is then.

The 4.6L mod motor will take more abuse than those supercharged windup toys any day.

I dont consider it "Smoking" the other car unless im 3 car lengths ahead.

either way, the SRT-4's are overbuilt. They already come pretty sooped up, and there aint a whole lot more you can do. Unlike a mustang which has a whole world of possibilitys

And the best part? Is they will NEVER sound as good as a mustang. I have straights and an Xpipe, i havent found an SRT-4 yet who wanted to race. They will see me up there with my rally stripes and all that, and i see em weaving through traffic in order to catch up to me, finally they get near me and they hear my burly b*tch rumbling an exhaust note deeper than thier jankey-assed Sony Explode crap stereos could ever accomplish, and then if they DO pass, they go nice and slow and dont seem all that cocky.

Its amazing how scared they can get when they hear what a V8 truly sounds like. Funny thing is my GT aint all that fast, only exhaust and CAI, but the sound is enough to make thier balls crawl back into thier bellys and they lose thier nerve.

There are plenty of SRT-4 drivers out there who are cool, this is all about those few who get a car for thier birthday and trash the engine and tranny while impressing girls and damn near killing people in traffic.

You shouldnt have a fast car unless yer gonna be responsible about it.
