Default So i bought a homo bike..

Since Suzuki didn't make any '10's this year, and im a beginner, i thought i'd pick up a poosy bike. So i did.

It was such a good deal i had to take it. 2007 Kawasaki 250R with 400 miles on it for 1900. lol.

I'll have some pictures up later. Its that blue color, and unfortunately has those gray flames on it, but i can take those off.

Not a homo bike at all. You have to start somewhere.

Yeah dude. Its a good start, plus it gets like 75+ MPG.. The only problem with it, is that your bike license will be restricted to 500cc and below.

I've always wanted a 250 ninja, easy to maintain, simple engine, you can do whatever to it, yourself.

I think you made a good decision.

Engine size..

Generally 500CC and less are considered like moped size.. He has a 250cc.

And they give you a restricted bike license unless u take the test with a 600cc engine or higher.

CC = cubic centimeter CI = cubic inch, same concept, smaller units.

I got my license off a 250cc bike because that's what they had.

Nothing is restricted in MI, I can ride whatever I want.

It varies on state. I know that the road test has a 500cc and below course, and a 500cc and above course.

However, I think you can ride what you want in NJ. If not, I don't care. I've been riding with just my permit. They can suck it. It only cost me 96 dollars for an entire year of insurance, then i go to the DMV and they charge me like 150 for title, and registration.

So how slow is that thing? Will it even do 80mph?

But seriously nothing wrong with that for a starter bike.

WTF are you talking about? I KNOW Kentucky doesnt have any law like that...neither does Ohio...I KNOW Europe does...so WTF are you talking about?

I know more than 10 people that got their KY bike license on a ninja 250 and went home and hopped on their 600,750,1000, 1300cc bike, all perfectly legal. This practice is common here in Ohio as well. What Im saying is that it doesnt matter what size engine the bike has that you take the test on just as long as its more than 50cc's. Cause thats all that is needed for a 2 wheeled vehicle to be considered a motorcycle.

props on buying a realistic starter bike and not some over powered shiny one that's bound to be dropped.

Well guys, I havent been there on that test. But thats all I've heard people bitch to me about.

Theyve all said dude, at least get you a 4cyl 600 or something when you take the test so ur license wont be restricted to 500cc and less.

But I really need to research this.

Good decision on taking off the grey flames. I think there is a law like that here in Tennessee too.

Yeah you really should. If you don't know first hand, then you can't always believe what someone tells you.

Congrats man. I was considering one of those awhile back when I started commuting 70 miles round trip for work.
