Default SCT Tuner Results

Just got back from a test run with the 87 street tune installed. Let me tell you my shift points feel alot more firm and I can tell it has some more get up and go. Im going to have to wait till I get down to a quarter tank to try out the 89 performance tune.

Over all Im quite happy with the results. Give me some more seat time with it and im sure ill get a better feeling of it.

Not really a tech deal.

because the 93 octane is more expensive. I may end up using the 89 performance tune more often. I haven't decided yet. Im waiting for my tank to get below a quarter before I switch Octanes.

wait till you throw a supercharger on it lol. But seriously dont. Waste of $ IMO. If I had to do it all over again. I would have stopped at tune, exhaust, cai, and suspension work.

There has to be something seriously wrong with your car if you are only getting 10-12 mpg on the highway. I highly doubt a tune will fix that. I get better than that on the street. I can average 24-25mpg on the highway with the occasional romp with the supercharger. You got a problem somewhere.

I completely agree. I've been doing a lot of highway/interstate driving lately in Spooky and with a 93 octane tune, I'm running the best gas mileage I've ever gotten, which is 18.5 mpg and it just keeps going up. I'm hoping to clear 19 mpg soon.

I can't figure out what it is.

I've done the spark plugs, wires, oil filter, oil, air filter, fuel filter, PCV Valve, Distrubitor(cap/rotor), new tires (275-40-17/255-40-17), alignment, breaks, rotors, tranny oil, diff oil, oil breather, new belt. I think that's it.
Other stuff that's been done that I know of. Flow Masters, no cats, 02's are hooked up, but not sure if they're any good. Removed Air Silencer and the passenger Fenderwell is missing. 3 1/2 inch exhaust tips at 2 feet long. 5.0 Short Throw Shifter. All around tinted windows.
I will be removing the smog pump and adding a shoter belt, I just did my clutch (plate, disk, throwout bearing and pilot bearing) not to long ago, did my oil pan gasket yesterday, had to get a new fan/shroud, Upper Control Arms should be here tomarrow. More stuff coming, but not yet.

I'm half asleep, barely can keep my eyes up, sorry if it don't make sense.

I have no idea, but somethings not right, or you just don't know how to calculate your mpgs correctly. I shouldn't be doubling your mpg with a V8, no cats, long tubes, and a supercharger on a 91 tune.

You should be getting much higher mpg than that. Unless your car is running extremely rich, a tune won't fix that. You should be getting at least 17-20 on the highway.

I'm gonna throw a tuner in with a 4.10 gear sometime. That should make it feel like an all out beast.

Again is everyone saying -- "justin at VMP" or Just AM a livewire?

Maybe I should add, -- "compared to how it was."

Dude, I know GT's arent fast. They just sound good.

And yes 2011gts are ungodly. Evolution has a 10 second auto 5.0 now.
