- Its a daily driver. - I cannot installed a HE/IC on this setup. - The resivoir is trunk mounted .... so pretty big im sure lol -The alcohol WILL NOT be running when im not in boost or on it hard. Otherwise my IATs are pretty normal/low. Heatons don't get hot when they're only in boost. It's a huge fucking chunk of aluminum that absorbs heat like it's a fucking sham-wow, so during those hot months it's going to sit there and just suck in hot air, make it even hotter, and then force it down into the lower intake. Not trying to pick on you, but that doesn't sound like a good idea. |

So it's going to be hot all the time while you're not getting on it and then kill gas mileage, etc. I got it now.

Don't believe me, drive the car around and look for yourself. I'm just trying to help you out since I myself have had more experience with the heaton than you. But I'll quote you and say "lol alright whatever man. Im not going to argue with you" |
Now now, boys. Play nice!
Who am I kidding? I wanna see some fuckin' heads roll! (Where the fuck is one of those smilies eating popcorn when I need one?) |

I drive one myself, and due to a broken HE I drove around in my 04 Cobra with no IC/HE fluid and pretty much without one at all since there was no fluid. My IATs sitting at redlights were going close to 130 and my gas mileage sucked, now that it's all fixed with my stock HE and IC I run 110 IATs all day long.

:kekekegay: And GDP for your information I wasn't saying you'd run 130* IATs, I was just saying a HE would be much better than just running hot. Take it for what its worth. I told you I liked your car before and still do, just trying to help you out. If you don't mind me asking why can't you run a HE/IC? |

One COULD be made that serves as the lower intake + aftercooler but would cost a shitload in $. Plus I would have to worry about coolant jackets and whatnot. |

Its an acceptable level of heat for my application. I cant run one because I would not be able to have a hood of any sort. It would sit way too high. It would have to sit between the upper boxed intake and eaton. As it stands already I will need a 4" cowl.

No there is no room to fit it. The V6 has a much higher angle than a 4.6L does. Plus your heads are designed differently allowing a big gulley for the IC and eaton to fit. In the end its not pratical unless a company decides to spend thousands on R&D and sells it an affordable price. Which is likely to never happen.
The other talked about option is to turn it upside down and mount it sorta like a M90 and run piping through an IC. But that too would require lots of $ and work. In the end its more pratical to run the alcohol because Im only concerened about when IATs reach 180+ Is it the BEST solution ..... no. |

But with the way it sits you have no real big other option other than doing some radical setup.
So whens the next dyno? I know you said last time you had some problems. SKEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!! http://www.isacalky.com/ Thats the alcohol system I will be running. SKEET SKEET SKEET! God damn im getting excited as shit just thinking aobut it. Im as giddy as a school girl. Anyway next dyno will be sometime within the next 2 weeks (when alcohol kit is installed). The changes since the last dyno (238rwhp) will be JLT CAI, Alcohol kit, and 3.4" billetflow pulley. Only problems ive had has been cant get more timing in because of the high IATs and lack of alky kit. |

Only problems ive had has been cant get more timing in because of the high IATs and lack of alky kit. I'd like to see 300rwhp out of it. CAI and a single-blade TB should help out a bit on your motor. And like I said before, if more power is needed you can always port the eaton and see some pretty damn good power increases. |
Tank is mounted in the trunk on the side. Its a 1 gallon tank. Yeah ive thought about getting a single blade. Im just waiting for a good deal on one. I do want to port the eaton too, but I would have to buy another eaton and ship that one off the get ported. Or at least find another casing cause I cant have mine outta commision.
Honestly after I get the alky kit its just a matter of getting the right sized pulley or ported eaton. Just a matter of boost. |
i see these lists and realize i really need to start buying parts for my mustang...
I hate being broke.. :( |
