At UCF, we play a game most of you have probably heard of called Humans vs. Zombies. However, we have had to change the rules a bit for our campus and instead of playing week-long games we do a few short hour long games every few months. The way we set it up at our school is the humans start at one side of the campus and their goal is to get to a designated area on the other side of campus. Zombies are free to roam wherever. The humans get turned into zombies whenever a zombie touches a human. However, humans are armed with nerf guns and other foam weapons that they can use to fight back against the zombies. When a zombie gets shot by a nerf gun, the zombie must drop dead for five minutes. After the five minutes is up, he can resume playing.

Yes, it sounds very nerdy but it's pretty much as close to real life Left4Dead as you can possibly get... and it's a blast.

Looks like fun, you guys are lucky, were not even allowed to have nerf guns on campus, we could get kicked off. If safety services saw this, it would be broken up in seconds.

Wow, that looks fun. Some of those Zombies did really good on the make-up. Can the zombies run fast, or are they the slow, dumb zombies? **** those fast zombies man.

Zombies are allowed to run, but only when they have a human in line of sight. As soon as the human turns a corner, the zombie must return to its limping shuffle. When they're walking their speed is relatively slow since they're required to walk with a limp. However, when they're running it's somewhere between jogging and running. They're not allowed to all out sprint.

 

Makes me want to go buy Nerf guns.

 

This is F-ing Epic. I wish i would have played this at UNM! I dotn think they ever did anyhtign like this.

I wish ours was like that....everyone just runs when they see someone around here.

You guys play outside only right? Thats pretty much our only rule...

Although, there should be a rule against modded nerf guns. I have a rifle with at least 100 ft. dead on range. Lol.

BBs + Nerf Dart = **** ton of pain.

 

i would so waste about 20 bucks on a good nerf gun for that. that looks like so much fun. you can re-enact Zombieland and all that.


and yes, i would so cite lines from left 4 dead.

Sheesh, I thought my school took this game overboard.

 

I'd stuff some of those hard gumballs into the Nerf 'bullets' to make it a little more painful, haha!

Wow. Some of those zombies went all out witht he make up and what not.
I think they only way to get a killshot though should be a head shot. Oughta make it a little easier for the zombies, haha.

Btw, the guns in the 8th photo are really good for playing "shot" roulette with. Tore me up pretty good thise weekend.

 

We would never be allowed to do that here on campus though. We had a shooting a year ago here where two kids died, now the campus police have assault rifles 'n ****.

I reckon I'm just old school, or just old, but I've never heard of **** like this. But I never went to college either. Around here the damn army plays "Robin Sage" games where new SF recruits go around infiltrating all the towns around the reservation. Townspeople are role playing either good guys that help them or enemy guys that try and kill them. It's all setup stuff but kinda secret stuff too. Got a few recruits killed because a cop wasn't aware of the games and shot 2 before he realized it was real life role playing.. Gotta be careful with that kinda stuff. Someone might go bonkers on ya..
