Default Ticketed!

Well yesterday i got pulled over for going 62 in a 45. Was more but i slowed down some before he got me. Also cut me some slack as my Registration was not signed... oops. I was not upset cause i was speeding and the cop was nice and all. I did take it to court though just to try and do driving school or something. I have nothing on my record and hope to keep it that way. Figured the worst that can happen is i still get the ticket. IT was a $118 fine and i was caught via Laser.

Should be getting mail soon with my court date.

You took it to court to do driving school? When I got my ticket, I paid my fine online and I elected to take driving school that way. I know in Florida, if you receive a ticket for speeding and it's over 15mph, the insurance companies can still raise your rates, but taking the class will keep the points off your license.

My sympathies to you. I know how you feel.

Thank God I've never gotten a ticket. I want cheap *** insurance when I can afford super dangerous fast cars that I will "drive the speed limit in".

I don't think I have. I say it fairly regularly. The only problem is since I've never been given a ticket, I can get kinda cocky when I'm driving around police as though I'm impervious to being caught. I do drive the speed limit and obey all traffic laws 98% of the time though.

When it snowed here a couple of weeks ago. I took the girlfriend's car out and did an e-brake slide around a turn at an intersection (slow speed due to snow), there was a state trooper driving up to the intersection from the direction I was sliding into that I didn't see. He probably though I was just a dumbass Arkansas driver in the snow though. If there hadn't been snow I'd been focker'd

Does not work that way here in New Mexico. If you want to get the ticket not to go on your record you have to go to court. Its simple though. I have been threw this before in this small town where i got the ticket. When you go to court they do all the speeding tickets up front and you meet with the cop and he basically makes the Recomendation on what to do.

If i pay online it goes on my recorrd end of story.

How long have your had your license and been driving? Depending on the judge, they will give you a break if you have been driving for a while and this is your first ticket. Kind of like a warning, and it's always best to show up at court. It's not like he will raise the fines if you show up but there is always a chance of it being lowered, thrown out, or the ticketing officer may not show (which happens alot in my area) resulting in being thrown out.

Oh yeah i have nothing on my record and have been driving for 10 years. I did have a acident about 7 years ago but the ticket got thrown out so i dont even have that on my record. Yeah its not really to big a deal. It was in the Small Town Of Bosque Farms though and the cops all show up!
