for those that had their childhood in the '90's like i did, you will remember the awesomeness of the Sega Genesis Sonic games. the 2D 16 bit sidescrollers.

also, remember how they recently ruined the series with 3D games? well, Sega finally listened, and the fanbase EXPLODED. they crashed Sega's website from sheer traffic from this announcement.

they announced today they are making Sonic 4, to be taking place after Sonic 3 and Knuckles games. i am so optimistic about this, because i grew up playing the original sonic games. i fondly remember how in Chemical Plant zone, i would move Sonic so fast he would be moving faster then the screen can scroll. i hope they make this game right. i want my old sonic back.
