now, normally, I'm not really into RPGs. but I watched my buddy playing this and he convinced me to buy it. I've been playing it like crazy since! this game is visually stunning and highly addictive... definitley grab this one.

 

It seems like one of those games where you'd benefit from playing the first one beforehand. I haven't played the first one, so I dunno. lol

 

I didn't play the first one either..so i was skeptical. ****'s fun though..can't argue with that

 

With Mass Effect it's not COMPLETELY necessary. The gameplay is whats bad *** nonetheless. The fact that you have different classes and the RPG/First-person gameplay.

Think of it like watching a Harry Potter movie when you haven't seen the others or read the books. You don't really get whats going on, but you can still understand.

I loved the first one, and I've yet to quit being a tight-*** and go buy it. I've played it a few times and its wayyyy better than the first. Trying not to spend money, other than on my car and getting our paintball field set up.

 

Xbox exclusive?

 

You guys are gay, who would wanna play a completely badass, addictive, best rpg ever made game with wierd aliens shootin **** and blowin stuff up? I wouldnt, especially because the first one was such and epic win and all, that i beat literally 8 or 9 times...I mean who needs all of that when i got my good ole trusty PS3...*suicide* The only thing i regret about buying a PS3 is that Mass Effect isnt out for it. /cryinacorner.

 

i have the first game and the second...by far my favorite RPG since Final Fantasy (on playstation 1 and prior) and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (1 and 2).
i have logged 28 hrs so far. no idea how much longer i have.

 

Kotor 2 i logged quite a few days on...One of my fav rpgs right there. Anyone wanna loan me their xbox for like..ever?? Also WTFH i cant play online on any game if i use a mike, but without a mike i play awesome, never lag etc. When i turn on my mike i get kicked off servers, games time out always.

 

Are you using Bluetooth? If yes, that always used to happen to my buddy, we never really knew why. We just assumed it was interfering with his router signal somehow. I sold him my USB headset and it solved his problem.

I loves me some good RPGs. I'm sure I'd get this and the first one if I had an Xbox.

 

Im running hardwire, but its fine now, it was wierd last night.

 

I wish I had the free time to play video games. I play Forza 3 once or twice a week for an hour or so, at most. I just want to be lazy, the time disappears somewhere.

 

I have the same problem. Between work, school, and girlfriend, my free time is completely shot. I can't remember the last time I got to sit down and actually play my PlayStation.

 

I beat it this afternoon after i was done classes. Logged 32 hrs and 30 mins since the day it was released, and unlocked 42 of 51 achievements. bad *** game for sure. cant wait till the 3 installment comes out.

 

Yea. Bioware was working on the third one before the second even started pre-release production. WTF?

But yet, its still not suppose to come out for like another year and a half at least. Damn Bioware and their amazing, long *** games.

KOTOR was the ****. If they ever make KOTOR online like they say they will I'll sell my car, quit my job and just sit at home and play it all day long. I think I beat KOTOR one and two like ten times each. Definitely ranks right up there with Final Fantasy. But Final Fantasy always wins because of hot anime chicks. Gotta love 'em.

 

I still have yet to play Mass Effect 1 or 2. My friend keeps telling me I need to, but I just don't have the time to play that much. One of these days I'll get around to it though. I found it interesting though that on IGN, one of the PS3 editors/fanboy wrote an article on how Mass Effect 2 is a better game than Uncharted 2. Even though they are two different style games, he clearly says Mass Effect is better.

 

Well I would hope Mass Effect is a better RPG than Uncharted lol
Articles like that is why I stopped reading game reviews. If a game looks cool to me, and I've played a demo and liked it, I'll get it.

 

It wasn't saying it was a better RPG. It was saying it's a better game. I will actually agree with you on something though. I don't really care what critics say. I like movies that get shitty reviews, and I'll play games that I like, not what other people tell me is the best.
