Question Winter "Mods." Who's doin' what?

So, what are you guys/gals doing to your car(s) this winter?

I've got a few small things already and am working on a couple of pretty big things too..

Come on, post up!

nice man. i bet the upr stuff will look sweet! So are you just putting on new pads or are you gonna upgrade the break system as well?

With my next pay check i am buying some headers and will finish my exhaust... taking the cats off. then i have plans to get smoked taillights and by summer time i want gears and Tlok installed. I already got the quote for parts plus labor (For the Gears and Tlok).

Cool thread, Evan! Some nice stuff you've got there, too.

I'm not doing anything major to my car for at least the next year. I really want to go back to school, so I need all the money I can get.

However, I have been contemplating painting my "GT" emblems and my pony flat black, but I'm not sure about it. What do you guys think?

Just my 4.10's installed, chin spoiler, maybe some longtubes and shorty o/r midpipe, and possibly nitrous.

Thanks, Already have Cobra brakes, just upgrading the pads.

Sound like some good plans for the 4.0!

Very nice. You doing coil overs, or just going to do some sport shocks/struts/springs?

Thanks Val. I'm really happy that I'll finally be able to upgrade some of the interior stuff, the all black was pretty bland. I didn't go with anything flashy, it's all brushed instead of the polished crap.

Could look good, just depends on what kind of look you're going for. If I had a black car I would have it alllllllll black, but your rims having the polished lips kind of hinder that possibility. lol

I don't have much planned. I need to save money for a Tq. Arm, some new track pads and rotors, and track time.

I wish I had the cash for coil overs but they are just not in the cards right now.

for the suspension I a just putting on brand new stock parts cause I got it all for less than 200 bucks. Down the road I might get an eibach pro kit but I read that stock suspension is hard to beat without spending alot and the eibach kit will lower the car but only marginally improve performance. The ORP will add about 7fwhp and 10 ft lbs. I'm also getting a very reputable guy to send me a tune.

I haven't really had the car long enough in good weather conditions to feel out what I think it needs so I can't quite plan my future mods yet.

I may blow some money on a set of the OEM rally rims and some 180-240 rated tires as they are really cheap for the size I need

I got things I'm saving for, but nothing till tax time. On my list is sub frame con., springs, c/c plates, and mayb a 3" cowl hood. The hood will be at the bottom of the list because its not as important. I would love to get at least the front brakes traded for the cobra's but it may wait as well.

Good job going with the brushed instead of polished. I hate polished stuff. I don't even like the polished rings around my A/C vents and my automatic shifter handle button.

I don't really have a set "look" I'm going for. Just a "Valerie" look, I guess. I think that murdered-out Mustangs look good, but it's just not for me. I like some contrast and plus, everyone is doing the murdered-out thing nowadays.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I really need a BMR adjustable panhard rod, so I will probably get that in the next few months.

You have to give us pics afterwards I hope you know.

I've already gotten my brakes done, now I'm thinking about using the left over money to get a push button start and changing out all of those stupid green LEDs in the dash and center console for blue. Time to get out the soldering gun!

I'll be ditching the shitty CD6 player and will be installing a new head unit (Christmas gift from the gf), and moving my nitrous switches into a panel that fits into the double din slot and holds a single din unit. I'll have the 4 switches for arming, purging, heating, and opening. I plan to finish up some nitrous goodies that I've been meaning to get to such as running the purge line, wire up the bottle heater, and put on the remote bottle opener. Just haven't had the time lately. I also need to drop off my Mach 1 hood, Gt rear bumper, and Bullit scoops off for paint!!

Dam sean that will be a clean set up. I have no big plans for the cobra this winter at all. I want to do some deep cleaning/detailing on it. Polish the exhaust now that the cobra isn't my DD during the winter, clean the inner part of the rims, paint the brake calipers. Maybe get a new set of coil covers, upgrade the headunit if I can, clean up the headlights some, and maybe get a roll bar for it. But we will see how much of the actual parts type stuff gets done.

What do you guys think of these? They are on sale for an amazing price, normally go for $100+ but are now $39 shipped. Maybe with some black or true blue lettering??

Man alot of you have some sweet stuff going on. I am getting another GT badge for the back as I only have the sides right now. Matt black it out. Then getting a new catback as I want something different. Also need to replace the wiper cowl as its cracked. Get new head lights, and wire up my purge 100%.
