I sold the Mach 1
I know I know, you guys are going to hate me, it's understandable though. The Mach 1 was just a little to expensive for an 18 year old working a minimum wage job. Plus I couldn't DD the car and I was having to pay to store it for the winter. A local dealership offered me straight across trade for an 03 350z Touring 6spd with 72k and I decided to take it. After I found out how much cheaper this car was going to be in every single aspect I knew it's what I needed to do. I don't regret it too much, I do miss the car but I'll have another one in the next couple years.
Here's the Z, first mods will be stock side skirts, fenders, and mirrors. Just ordered the wiring harness for my Kenwood touch screen, I'll take some interior pics when I get that put in.
The car has a pretty decent amount of power for being stock, I was surprised. I'm loving the 6 speed too.
Last pic of the Mustang

I definitely lost what I had paid off on the Mach 1, but what I owed was less than what they were asking for the Z. My parents have never paid for any of my cars and they have never bought me a car either. I make all the payments and I pay all the expenses.

wow.. you are a ******* idiot.
I usually wouldn't come right out and say that to anyone, but you could have sold that car for more and gotten a better car for your money.
What is with you kids? Can you honestly look at those two cars side by side and tell me that you got a good deal? No.

It REALLY sucks that you sold the Mach, but I'm not going to call you stupid or anything. You did what you felt you had to do, nothing wrong with that. Good luck with the Z and I hope you like it.
Keep posting here, too.

I expected a couple more posts like that. The bluebook is currently 13,800 for a Mach 1 with 26k so there was absolutely no way I was going to get the 18 I originally paid or even close to it for that matter. I'm in no way saying the Z compares to the Mach 1, it is much cheaper and much more practical however which is what I needed. I would have liked to have sold it and got more out of it, but everyone knows selling a completely non practical and non economical car isn't easy these days.

dam dude I am sad to see it, I loved your mach 1 soo much!!! sad day, but hey if the z helps you financially then whatever, no need to bury yourself in debt and money troubles over a car. At least you got something sporty and fun. My dad has a red convertible one and there definitely fun cars, the interiors are solid, the brakes are awesome, and over all they are a great car.

+1 dude!! I mean dont get me wrong i understand your view, but you could have gotten 16 for that car EASY. I say go back if possible man..seriously...that salesman RIPPED you the **** off.

yea dude, you got the low end of the deal. you could have gotten at LEAST 15k-16K for that mach, and spent about 14k for a 50,000 mile 350z. now if it were a GT maybe i would have considered.
i would try to get that mach back, sell it to a mustang enthusiast (which shouldnt be hard via forums), and buy something more practical. And how is a z cheaper than a mach insurance wise. as far as i know, maintence on a z is a bit more expensive than a ford.
