My last Dog was a Collie and i love that dog. Name was April. She is still Kciking and is 10. I moved out of the rents house after i graduated College and my apartment does not allow animals over 50 pounds or i would have taken her with me. Once i get a house i really would love a German Shephard. Its my favorite kind of dog. I would need something with a decent size yard though cause they have alot of energy.

I have a mutt that I got from a shelter. She is some bichon and some toy poodle. She weighs like 11 pounds but you will never find a more alert guard dog I garantee it. She couldn't really do anything to an intruder but I swear she has radar cause as soon as anything is in our yard she runs to the window and if it gets withing 30 feet of the house she starts to growl and if it comes closer she will start to bark. Unless she knows the person then she just wags her tail till they get to the door.

I have 2 mutts. One is a hound/beagle mix, and the other I have no idea. We think she is part whippet and who knows what else. Adopted both of them.

My dogs are both ********, just like I am.

I've posted pictures of them before, but I don't feel like digging around this site for them.

I actually like my cat more than I like both of my dogs. My cat kicks ***.

Where did you get yer husky Jack? Did you get her when she was a pup?

I've always wanted a husky, but being in college apartments it's impossible. I have two dogs right now. One is a Australian Shepperd, and the other is a Black Chocolate Lab. As Black Sunshine said, I like my cats more though.

Especially this girl. She's only about two years old but she is beautiful. In case you can't tell by the picture she's about 4 feet long and I think last time we weighed her she hit 48 lbs.

I gotta pound puppy. She's a mutt. I've posted a vid of her before so if you wanna see her that badly go find the video. LOL She's spoiled *** rotten and jealous as hell. She hates any other female touching me or me touching any other female. She gets right b/w me n my girl and lays on her back like ha ha bitch. And if i'm pettin my cat, she stands on her hind legs and glares at the cat till i stop.

A Lab/chow mix, nicest dog youll ever meet, barks at intruders till they get out of the vehicle then licks them to death. And a Great pyrenese puppy still in training. Both adopted/animal shelter. Snowman(pyrenese) and Kopper.

I got her at a local breeder, and she was an absolute steal. Got her at 8 weeks. That blue eye was almost white when she was a pup and it looked like she was wearing heavy mascera/eyeliner. it was somewhat unsettling.

Her parents were a local breeding pair, they had 4 litters then decided to stop breeding. Then before they got the bitch spayed she had another litter, so they went ahead and sold those, then they went to get her spayed a few months later or whatnot, and she was pregnant AGAIN. That is the litter Bu came from.

They had been selling for quite a heavy price, Black huskies were about 1000 for a black female, they charged 1500 for red and silver females, and they even had a few white huskies in past litters that sold for over 2 grand.

she is definatly show quality and breeder quality, i got her for $350 total, they wanted this last litter to be just sold as pets. They figured $350 was enough to deflect those who cant afford to care for them and to deflect breeders and show dog seekers since they were so cheap.

So $350 out the door with no papers. Fine by me, those papers dont mean much to me since i dont breed/show.

The other dog, Jager, i got her when she was about 9 weeks old from a shelter. She is an awesome dog, i love Jaegs to death.

I've had a string of Begals over the recent years. My Dad just got a new beagle puppy Thanksgiving weekend. The girlfriend has a yellow lab at her Mom's house that someday we will have live with us when we get a big enough place. He's such a silly dog, we call him Dumb-kin (his name is Duncan).

My Beagle Lucy is my best dog I've ever owned. She's well behaved and I have her trained to the max. All I have to do is keep her routine going and she will do the rest. I think she has jedi skills in her cuteness though. Even now when see stares at you she has puppy face.. LOL,,

That is a hell of a steal. I just figured you would have payed 2 grand for a silver/white husky like her.

She's beautiful though. The exact type I wanted. Blue eyes, white/silver, and a girl.

Jack - Now I'm curious to wanting to hear what she sounds like when she doesn't shut up. haha I've wanted a Husky so bad for so long, but I always move where I can't have pets. UGH
How come there eyes are always mix colors? My friend has one, she's fisty as ****.

Rebell - I used to have a pure bread beagle, got it when I was younger because of some movie, I think it was Cats vs Dogs or something, I forget. It got away, jumped a huge fence and left, unless it some how used the trampoline to jump over, super dog I'd say.

I wouldn't mind getting a husky someday. I was watching a special on different breeds of dogs and huskies are awesome. They can withstand ridiculous cold weather (they were bread for it) and this guy who lives in Oregon I believe had his husky run off and was gone in some pretty harsh weather for a week and it came back and was fine. Just got some shots just in case of parasites from whatever it had to eat, but they have good survival skills.

I also have a cat that's awesome. All three animals sleep on the bed which gets a little crowded. 2 people, 2 dogs weighing around 40lbs each and then a cat.

yah she sounds pretty much just like the huskies in those videos. lol... huskies are all strange dogs.

Not all huskies have mixed color eyes, but they are more prone to multi colored eyes compared to other dogs.

If you want a DOG then dont get a husky. They just dont give you that dog experience, they are almost feline compared to other dogs.

1) They are WORTHLESS as guard dogs and will likely play with any intruders
2) They shed 364 days a year
3) They are notorious escape artists, they can scale a 6 foot fence without batting an eye, they can also shove themselves THROUGH chainlink fences. Bu has done this several times.
4) They are thieves, you neighbors may take a dim view of your dog hopping the fence and stealing thier toys
5) Bad seperation anxiety, not all of them have this, Bu is fine, but ive heared horror stories
6) Prone to epilepsy. Bu had a seizure once and it scare the **** out of me. i thought she ate the hot tub chemicals. lol

THAT said, if you want a Huksy, get a husky. Just know they are not like normal dogs. I love Bu to death, but Jager is my #1 because she is a dog and acts like a dog. Bu is definatly awesome, huskies are GREAT for picking up girls at the dog park, lol, they are fun very affectionate and a blast to have, jhust dont expect normal dog behavior.
