Default The "What are you getting other people for Christmas" thread

We have a Christmas list thread but lets see what you all are getting friends/family. Maybe others can use this thread to get ideas or something. I always get more into what I get other people than what I get, cause I like giving people ****...haha. I always been a fan of giving people useful/fun stuff and not boring crap that they won't ever use.

Anyway, for my bro I bought him a wireless keyboard so he can be a lazy *** and use his HDTV as his monitor and chill on his futon and play games and stuff from there.

http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html...t_adv_XASD0001

And I also bought him Terminator Salvation on Blu-Ray since he recently bought a PS3, it'll be his first Bluray movie.

And then for my mom, I'm buying her some new speakers for her Tahoe, all of the oem speakers are blown (her fault) so this will save her and anyone else's ears when listening to music in that thing now. And yes I'll be putting them in for her.

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_20607DS...r-07DS600.html

And finally for my dad, my brother and I are buying him a Mosin Nagant M1891/30, going to call around to find a good deal on an FFL transfer then we're going to order it ASAP. I plan on wrapping up just the bayonet in a box and giving him that, then when he's all wtf you gave me a bayonet for a gun I don't have, we'll bring the rifle out. Should be fun

http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/R...ant_Rifle.html

My friends and I usually don't get anything for each other, just a couple of us get each other **** $<20. I barely have enough money to buy the stuff for my family members so I'll have to scrounge up money at the last minute and get them something.

This is going to be a sweet Christmas.

We all decided last year to only buy gifts for the kids. Not each other, My immediate family isn't a very large group anyway. This works out great. We did break the rule though, and my mother, and my mother inlaw got gifts from all of us. They were pleasantly surprised. No more worries about getting the right gift/ right amount of money spent/ does it fit/ etc.. I just want to see the childrens faces light up when they see what they got.. Best present ever.. As for getting my wife something... besides the usual, yule log, I have no idea what she wants.. LOL, Go to walmart and pick out something, From Me... Love ya

Damn, Pee! You are a really good gift giver! It's good to know you have more to give than just ****. My boyfriend has a Mosin Nagant. Thing is loud as hell.

I got my best friend the Wii Sports Resort that came with the Motion Plus accessory, got one of my friends a gift box of body spray/lotion/other stuff from Victoria's Secret, another friend got a gift card to Kohl's. I still have my Secret Santa at work to buy for and I have no clue what I'm going to get her. I also have my gramma and favorite uncle to buy for.

I'm going to cook my dad and boyfriend a nice steak and shrimp dinner at home.

That's all. I can't afford to do as much for Christmas as I did in the past. I hate Christmas, anyway.

I got my brother a PS3 game and my sister a DS game, while I plan on getting one of those Christmas village houses/churches for my mom since one of her favorites broke last year. Haven't quite decided with dad yet.

Wife and I aren't really exchanging gifts since she doesn't ahve a job at the moment. Probably going to have my dad and step mom over for dinner some night. Not sure what I'll get my mom yet. Gotta look for something cool for my 7 year old nephew. Got him a bike last year, so not sure I can top that this year.

My boyfriend is getting his 8 year old nephew an XBox 360 arcade version. I'm not too happy about that because we don't have the money right now. I think his sister (the kid's mom) should put up the $200+ for the XBox and Steven (boyfriend) can just get his nephew a game for it. I'd be fine with that.

But he's stuck up his sister's *** and just has to look good.

haha, yeah, i won't go that far. He already has a PS3, which is technically my brothers though. I do like looking like the best uncle though so I'll get him something good, but reasonably priced.

My family also does the drawing out of a hat deal.

If Steven did that for me, I'd be pissed. I'd tell him to take it back. I could buy sooooo much **** for my car for a grand.

Big mistake. Now she's going to expect you to top that everytime. That **** doesn't come until you're married. You could've got a nice set of diamond earrings for a couple hundred and she would've been plenty happy. Oh, and don't ever buy jewelry from a mall shop (Zales, Kays, etc.), they are way overpriced and rip you off for the quality you get.

Or, you can just get rid of that chick and only date a chick who drives a Mustang. Then you can just get her parts for her car and she'd be happy.

I don't give a **** about jewelry. The only piece I own is my 'engagement' ring that I picked out from Wal-Mart. It was cheap and I love it. I've never gotten into that kind of stuff. I don't like flowers or anything like that. I like to have things that are practical - things that I can use in everyday life, or something that just looks cool sitting there, like a suit of armor or something.

Congratulations, Matt! I hope she doesn't read the forums, haha. Let us know what she says.

I finally finished my Christmas shopping this past weekend... I hope. I always hate it because just when I think I've bought for everyone, someone else pops up on my damn list.

I got my grandmother a glass heart keychain and one of those digital photo things, my favorite uncle got a box of Led Zeppelin replica memorabilia, my secret santa at work is getting a Victoria's Secret giftcard, my friend at work is getting some Victoria's Secret lotion/body wash/body spray, another friend of mine got a Kohl's giftcard, another friend got an iTunes giftcard.
