Default New Camaro Pt. II

I posted a while back about my friend and neighbor's new SS Camaro.

Well apparantely it was totaled yesterday. He was coming home from work and a 2 and 1/2 ton wrecker switched lanes right on top of him. He's supposedly ok, but he went to hospital anyway to get checked out.

Dammit, He did 2 tours in Iraq, and just got home from afghanistan, and finally got something he could enjoy. I haven't seen him yet, but his wife has some pics of the mangled SS. I'll post soonly..

Times are hard.............sometimes you have to create work
Thats really hard to believe, those cars are so fugly they have a "fugly forcefield" around them to prevent this from happening.

I know it's wrong, but I immediately noticed the irony in getting hit by a wrecker. I hope he's okay. The wrecking company will pay for a new one, right?

I was actually a tanker truck that hit him. Haven't uploaded that pic yet. It was an Army vehicle and My friend is in the army so, pretty sure he'll get at least his money for a new car..

That's a HMMT Wrecker that took him out. Not to make excuses, but there are supposed to be 2 people in a military vehicle, so that things like this don't happen. If the guy was allowed to drive that vehicle without a passenger who could look down that side of the vehicle, then there were larger problems than this accident. If you look at the way that wrecker is made, and where the scars are on the tires, the driver never knew he was there, and never saw him. Whenever there's an accident invoving a military vehicle, where the military vehicle is involved, the unit responsible has to pick up the bill for repairs. And typically they don't take very long to do so, quicker than most insurance companies, actually.

We had a guy on a HALO jump get off-course and land on a car and put a dent in it, and the unit paid for the repairs within a week.

Plus the driver didn't have the required permit to drive that. There were 2 in the vehicle, But the dumbass tried to merge onto a 2 lane road to get to a right hand turn lane. My buddy said didn't see him until it was too late. Drug him down a curb so it fcked up the passenger side wheels also. His buddy was behind him and saw everything..

The shop where the Camaro is at said 20 grand in damage at least.. Hopefully he'll get a new Camaro and not have to wait the estimated 6 months to repair.. But it's probably not totaled..
