Too bad the design of GT5 pretty much sucks IMO.

The computer can just push you straight into a wall, yet you can never touch them.

Tuning in Forza is so much better than an Gran Turismo game, and trust me we use to have serious tournaments for Gran Turismo so I am not a hater by any means. But Forza blows it out of the water.

I still don't know why they never put the 03/04 cobra in any of these racing games. It is sweet though that they have the 93 cobra. Damn I need to start playing some more. Damn work gets in the way.

They also have the Prius and the Model T.. Certainly doesn't make the game better. GT has been dead in the water since GT 3, the stupid developers of that game forgot about it actually being about racing cars and just focused on having 9 million cars. FTL IMO.

Forza is really good, I'm pretty impressed so far, but I HATE The announcer thing and the load time is fairly slow.. I also really don't like the intro to each race, it's so annoying how it shows the car roll up every time then does the rev-up thing.. That is honestly probably the worst part of the game.

I played it last night for about 4 hours and I'm almost to level 11 already, and it also seems that you accumulate credits easier in this version which is cool, that allows you to buy/play with more cars which is fun. Plus having the Saleen F150 and the Dodge SRT10 is pretty cool, I think that makes it interesting throwing all kinds of different cars/trucks and SUV's in it. Not mentioning the fact that it has a lot of Mustangs.. Fox, New Edge, 197, Saleen, Cobra, Shelby.. I mean it's just a cool *** game. Can't wait to go home and play it some more tonight.

I think I just got to eleven last night. Bought it sunday night and installed it monday afternoon and played all day.

I love how you can do whatever you want though.

I have a Focus RS. AWD, FRPP 5.0 Cammer motor, Single turbo, 800hp.

It's the most bad *** car I have been able to get yet. And a simple motor swap allows it to go back down to the B and C series for the championships.

That's one of the great things about the game. You can find a nice moddest car and mod the crap out of it for bigger races and then take it back down for lowers races. You can use one car for a lot of events by just swapping parts. I've been using cars I win for certain races just so I don't have to specifically buy a car for it.

You can mod in Forza?? Suddenly the GT series seems really stupid.

Yeah, I have been day dreaming in class a lot lately thinking up ways to mod my cars and what kind of car I want to build. I've got an awesome Audi S5 (A class) and R8 (R3 class) modded to the hilt, Evo (A class) and Skyline (S class) pushing 600 and 800+ horsepower respectively. A Lambo Revention and GT2 Porsche that is derty as hell too. I'm probably going to built a Viper for S class races, seems like the leaderboard for that class is flooded with them so they much be a good car. I'd like to get a FXX. I really like how they give you all kinds of cars for winning. Awesome game, never played a game so much.

Dammit...now I'm gonna rent it and play it and my buddies house to see if it's worth getting a 360 over. Hell, they're pretty cheap nowadays.

Hell yeah you can mod in Forza. This time they separated out drivetrain and engine swaps. Before it came together. Just think, you can swap a LSx into a solstice, hell they even have some stock cars and you can swap those engines into some cars. Definitely check it out. Now it is going to be different driving it than Need for Speed, Dirt, and all those other games. It has realistc physics, so just make sure you start off with a slower car and get the hang of driving it.

Seriously? lol..... Did you never play the original Forza?

I made it level 20 last night, I've only really messed around with a few cars. My Focus RS and my GT500. I had the Focus set up for the C races and the GT500 for the A races. I've also got a mildly upgraded 4-door BMW and the '93 Cobra R.

Trying to accumulate as much money as possible, got about a million now, so that's a good start.

Broke level 40 last night. Hour long endurace race in a F200 honda Fit is fun ****, especially when you just wreck the competition's cars the whole time. I don't like, however, how the npcs are unstoppable. I rolled one guy over several times and slammed him into walls and he always catches up, it's like damage does nothing to them..lol

What kind of difficulty are you guys running?

I only have ABS, the braking suggested line, and full damage, playing on Medium... I think I'm probably going to crank it up to Hard tonight because for the most part I am embarrasing the AI's.. lol

I'm pretty much in the top 1% on the leaderboard for just about every track, so I suppose I probably should be challenging myself a little bit more.

Everyone needs to put up their Live account on here and we'll have a MB tournament.. Mine is Evan2417

Nope, never. I wouldn't mind having a 360, though...just so that if a game doesn't come out on the PS3, I'll have a 360 to back it up. My biggest fear is going out and buying a 360 and this Forza3 game and either being disappointed with Forza or getting the RROD.

Same goes for me.

Gamertag is spanky8007

Yes I know, it is a sexual reference.

I love Forza. Just like someone else said, I'm in class thinking about what car I want to buy and mod out next. Which, redundantly I'm in class right now.

Last night I bought an R34 Skyline and got it up to an R3, borderline R2. That thing is ******* fast.

0-60 in 2.8 seconds.
0-100 in 4.8 seconds. Thats what a stock viper does 0-60 in lol.

AWD FTMFW!!!
Ohh, and my Focus is still getting faster as I fine tune everything.

I'm addicted. I ******* knew this would happen.

EDIT: How are you posting up pictures from Forza? I have some really bad *** shots I'd like to show off.

ABS on
TCS and Stability off
Manual, no clutch
No suggested line
Full damage
Hard

Level 18 so far with really not much playing time. If you look at the events list, I have the 1st two columns complete and then a few events scattered around. The endurance races are fun, but long. You do get a **** load of money though.

I dont know how you can race without abs, maybe if you had a wheel with force feedback pedals, but i always lock up with the triggers. Theres just not enough travel or pressure from the triggers.

all you need is half way on the brakes and down shift, if you played as much as me you would get it.

The only way I was able to do it flawlessly was to turn down the sensitivity.

You can definitely only be really competitive online with a wheel and playing manual. Especially in the R3-R1 series. You can't use a controller and make it, the cars are so fast and the slightest bit off of the line and you'll b in eighth in no time.

I want to get this MB tourney going....lol.
