Default Possible mustang in Jack's Future?

AHHH This is awesome!

So for the past 2.5 years ive been paying every bill in the house. Mortgage, cable, electric, water, trash, insurance, and all the groceries. My wife had been working part time in the mornings and has not been making squat.

Needless to say it has left things tight, but with the kids, the wifes job made the most sence because we diddnt have to pay for childcare with the hours we work. and child care is freaking expencive. If we had to pay for daycare, pretty much 100% of her paycheck would go to that.

Welp, my wife picked up a new part time job at a high end casino in Blackhawk as a waitress in the high roller lounge (a very coveted position). The hours work perfectly with my schedule and we would damn near DOUBLE our household income!!!

She has a couple friends that work there, been there for years and can attest to how much you pull in. She would be taking over one of her friends position as she got promoted to be a bartender. Her friend averaged maybe $750 on a shitty weekend, and a sight over 1000 on a good weekend. She actually may pull in more than i do at times.

I figure i would let her spoil herself rotten untill january, then re-figure the bills, split bills 50/50, within just a few months we would be 100 Debt free with exception of the mortgage, and free myself up to where =I= would have about 2,000 per month of disposable income to save, use, do whatever with. Rebs would have about the same.

Hello COBRA!!!!!!!!!!

Plus, this would give some awesome financial security, the Casinos are always in business. if my company tanked and i lost my job, she could switch to full time and keep everything running for probably years if that is what it took before i found another job, or retrained myself a new trade to get employment.

As it was, if i lost my job we had about 6 months to get by on my severance package and unemployment before we would lose the house.

Thank god for gambling and Booze!

Oh hell yeah! I would LOVE a lightly used 04 cobra. IT MUST BE BLACK!

The wife felt really bad when I had to sell my 04 GT. She really liked the stang, but it was a worthwhile sacrifice for the family.

if i ended up with an 04 termie, i certainly wouldnt complain.

I love 5.0s but I hope they don't bring it back. Then it won't be worth **** to say I have the last of the 5.0s. Any chance my car had at becoming a classic possibly worth something way down the line would be taken away.

If they do bring it back, it better be in 2v or 4v only. None of this 3v crap. 2s and 4s sound better IMO.

Modular > Pushrod

Anyways, its great news Jack... you've been through quite a bit the past couple years, your bright sides already had been coming up, especially when it came with your son, now its just getting that much better.

Congrats man, hope you get that cobra you're wanting, you deserve it.

Congrats to your wife on the new job and to your future new mustang. I can't wait to see what you eventually decide on. It will be fun to watch you shop and have all the ideas thrown out and beat down. Good luck and enjoy the hunt.

Thats awesome! I'm happy for you man, and congrats to your wife on the job. Since my girl works at Hooter's I somewhat understand what it's like. $200 a night in tips isn't unusual for my girlfriend and if there is a big event she has made $450 in only a few hours of work before. She has thought about going to someplace like the Woodlands, Tx to work for a while, some girls she knows there makes twice that, AT LUNCH! The only problem is the unsecure nature of it since it varys at times. If I had a choice if a job that was sorta like that it would be valet. I worked for two hours as a valet for a one-time party for some important peeps and political sorts and made a crazy amount of money for the amount of work. I hope you get a Cobra and that I become a jealous bastard.

Your right I forgot that there is no way that he could get loans for those cars without a co-signer seeing as he doesn't probably have an credit history except for cars or history of or paying for a residence

Spin, you crack me up man. There is no way in hell im gonna spend 2,000 a month on a car. lol.

350-400 a month on a 2004 cobra though?, yeah, i might do that. Get one what already has full exhaust, chip, and pully swap. 500hp is plenty for me.

Kind of hard to repo them when mommy and daddy are paying for them. It's sick I know. I go to Oakland University, some guy(probably 25) goes here and drives a Phantom. From what my teacher told me, there are a lot of people that go here under fasle names because their familys are either rich and or famous. Mitt Romney's son goes here....his dad almost became the president.

Also, U of M some tools drive the Maserati's their parents gave them.

Spinz is like this kid that come to my detail shop who is 17 and has a new M5 and a modded 350z and claims he spent HIS money on it when....he is in high school and his dad is the head of a surgery board at beaumont. hmmmm I wonder where he gets the money from?

Dam Jack it's good to hear, But, Your thinking 5 year old used car now, You should consider getting a 2010 at least. I rode in my neighbors new Camaro and it's like apples to oranges in comparison, The new Camaro is so smooth and fcking fast too.. 425 HP, but you wouldn't know it till you stepped on it, and his payments are right at about 500 a month.. He test drove a Shelby GT 500, and he really wanted that too. But got the Camaro. I believe I could swing either way if I wanted another 5 years of car payments.. I need to ride in a new mustang before I revert.. LOL
