Default Need For Speed: Shift

Its kinda unrealistic, price wise, and a bit at top speed wise. But other than that, BADASS!! I got it today and i only just now got on, i had to pry myself away from it. Already got a gt500 shelby on it Although i think the nissan skyline on the game SUCKS...info? Anyways if you like racing games, its badass, has awesome graphics, nice cars, and all the other **** ud want!

My 17 yr old son got it today for his x-box and he likes ok. Kinda like prostreet he says. He'll have it beat by the weekend and trading it for something else. I'll get for my PC and play it for at least 6 months. I love NFS games.. NFS Most Wanted is still my favorite one though. I love it when you get the heat levels up. It gets pretty intense, for a video game..

Well, you just sealed the deal on that one for me.

ProStreet was complete garbage.
Only place in the world you could run a 4 second 1/4 mile in a street car.

Yeah.
I know.

Gay.

I still haven't played more than and hour of ProStreet and bought it the day it came out. I hated that game. I will have to wait a while before I think about getting Shift, it looks cool, but so did ProStreet.

Yea i borrowed MW from my buddy and i loved it, but i had to give it back much sooner than wanted. Prostreet was comeplete bullshit on the drag racing, and was nothing special, if you guys are skeptical download the demo, its free

I read some GI reviews on Shift, and it got an 8.5 rating. They said it resembles Forza, and Gran Tourismo, I will try it, but I don't see a PC version of yet.. Anyway, Prostreet wasn't that bad IMHO. Better than Carbon. And better than Undercover too.. If they could match MW gameplay, without the stress of getting your bounty, I would love a game like that.. But I'm old school with a MOMO wheel for PC, so I'm running out of options for a new, good race sim..

If I remember correctly, PC isn't getting Shift, but theyre getting an exclusive game. I forget what it's called. It's supposed to be heavily online oriented.

I rented Shift and played it for a couple of hours now. I don't like it. It's playable, but I'm not going to buy it. This Forza or something would be much better for the money. The points and reward system is fun, but thats about it. Every car I've driven in the came so far is extremely twitchy, and the graphics arn't very good.

At this point im getting to where cars are hitting 280+ and its really annoying.. At that speed you hit the slightest bump and the poorly tuned cars you "Borrow" start wheel hopping and slam you into a wall...During the meantime your rival NPC is cruising along like the road was paved by god or chuck norris and has no prob passin you. Then whenever you go to take a turn during start, you hit a small bump and your tires lose ALL sense of traction whatsoever. After that you get to play gravel mudding and take your place, last. UGH frustration...and im on easy...Some races are easy, some i cant place in.

I liked how you could be a little more involved with your car in prostreet, and that it gave you the performance specs. The drifting sucked. I liked Carbon for the drifting only. It was pretty intense and very nerve racking at times. Haha... Completely unrealistic but extremely fun. MW was fun all around. Didnt much like the undergounds as they were more ricey. But anything before that was fun as **** to me.
