Dunno if you all know but im a drummer, i have a band entitled samatha's last day. We play lots of shows n stuff and i always came out of there bein like yeah were the best band here. Well, tonight it was different. We played our 1hour plus set, and a couple other classic rock bands play, then the guy hosting the show plays with his band. then the last band gets up n play's and i was like we'll leave im starved, and i listen to one song and i didnt want to leave, and i kept arguing with my members on why we couldnt have a sound like them and i felt soo envious to want to be like them and sound like them. Should i leave my band if they wont write songs with a sound i like? I dont know what to do, its like relationship advice, because thats what a band is, one big relationship.

 

My girlfriends son is in a band. They fight more than an old married couple. Everyone has a different opinion of what they should play and no one can deal with making a deceison thats works for the "band".

You are right about it being a relationship (give and take) buy there is always going to be someone that is going take more than give. Sit down and talk to everybody in the band and tell them you thoughts. The deceison will be yours in the end. If you cant love your music with these guys then move along. Good Luck

 

I would leave the band, cause hoenstly, you guys aren't that good and your singer is horrible. If you really want to get into a serious band, you need to tighten up your playing.
