i bought a 2009 Mazda Speed 3...the car is Metropolitan Grey and came with dealer installed 19" chrome 5 star rims. Dont know where my camera is i just moved to phoenix on the 17th of july bought the car on the 23rd and i just drove it to california...car went from 100 miles to 1200 pretty quick, LOL. I picked this car over a 17k mile 2007 STi, mostly because i got a badass deal and a warranty.

Thats right there are no pics!!!!

My mustang will probably be going up for sale in september when i pick it up from the shipping company.

It's an awesome little car...it's a lot faster than i thought it would be. I know nothing about these cars but i was really surprised when it broke the tires loose in a 2nd gear pull.

I ran up on a Speed 3 downtown one time, followed him around for a little bit showing off my non-catalytic-converter-muffler while drooling over his BOV.

Ended up pulling on to the interstate behind him, did the three honks and thought I pulled on him by a car.

He was a good three cars ahead of me by the end of 4th......Running 24lbs of boost with a 4" downpipe......

This thing looked like my mom would drive it to the store and back. I was in awe. Best sleeper car ever.

I guess it's time for a supercharger.

That's what it'll be. The 302 shortblock with some nice heads and then slap the turbo on there. I'm a good $10,000 away from that though lol...

i still have my supercharged mustang....im still on the fence on keeping it though. so this little car doesnt need to be any faster than it already is. what i found out about these cars is that the stock turbo shouldnt be spooled up past 20 PSI or the seals blow out...a stage 1 tune will get tuned to 18 psi and require a aftermarket bypass valve or boost bleeds off back to the inlet of the turbo. the stock speed 3 puts down around 230-240 hp to the wheels but the gearing sucks on them and have serious traction issues so they run 14 second 1/4's with 2.3 60 fts on stock tires. i think thats just because there are a bunch of younger kids driving these things and dont know much about launching these things. i dont really care too much about that stuff the only kind of racing i might get into is auto cross and even that will be a once a month type thing. since im in the bay area right now i drove over to wheeldude and picked up some hyper black rota G-force rims in 18X8.5 with a 48 offset. i might have to roll the rear fenders though...that will have to wait till i get back to arizona next week.

i have pictures but i dont have the cord to get the pictures from the camera to the laptop...i thought this thing had a card reader. probably later on this evening i will take some pics with my env touch since it has a 3.2 mega pix camera.

oh i would of bought the STi but the only ones that were for sale at a price that i could afford were all selling in a day...everyone in arizona was scrapping them up fast. i found one STi that was for sale it had 17k miles it was a 2007 obsidian black pearl with silver BBS wheels but the dealer wanted almost 28k for it and the kbb for the car was 26k...my bank wouldnt give me a loan over 18k they used my taxable income not my gross income (*** clowns). i only had 9k cash to put down on a car and after taxes i wouldnt of been able to afford the car...my payments would of been high and once i found out insurance costs that sort of killed that idea of having a 2006-2007 STi....my insurance would of been 280 a month. my inusrance for the speed 3 is very friendly at only 100 a month...actually its 590 every 6 months!

LOL mines $330 every month. $280 seems like a blessing from heaven. Even just $50 cheaper is sweet though.

Damn insurance and not trusting a 18-year old guy...To hell with them.

I can see your point though. Any newer STi seems like they hold their value pretty damn well. BBS wheels are nice, but not enough to pay 28k lol.

I think you made a good choice. I wouldn't do anything but a new exhaust. I think the HKS exhaust (i think that was what I listened to) sounded very nice.

Yea with a completely clean driving record too. No tickets, no accidents, still $330 a month.

Mine was $278/month for 4 years because of my accident. I was so happy when it finally went back down to $140/month. I've had tickets as well, but luckily they have been spaced far enough apart that I've been able to clear them by taking driving classes (which are only $78.)

okay..so i took pics a couple weeks ago only to find out i didnt have my USB cable for my camera...my laptop is cheap so it doesnt have a card reader on it. i just got my PC today from my germany shipment and i only have german cables for it and that has a card reader built into the tower...so i went to grab some food at sunset and snapped a couple pics in a parking structure on base.

these are with my cell phone which didnt turn out all that great.
