I wouldnt mind having both, thats for sure. One that goes 253mph, and one that goes 257. Haha.
I think those are the tops speeds, anyway.

Good luck affording it. Veyrons are ugly. This car is pretty sweet looking but I'm sure way out of my price range.

seems to me like 1287 isnt that much.. considering top fuel drags and funny cars at around 5000hp... but they are alot more expensive, get rebuilt after every run, etc. I dunno, and these little supras go TT and get 1200hp easy.

1287hp in a street car weighing less than 2800lbs, that thing is going to move. Obviously not like a dragster built to go straight and fast like a bullet but it is a dam fine car none the less.

you kidding me??!!!

to get 1287hp in a car that must meet all US regulations for automobiles and emmissions standards and SMOG standards is beyond awesome!!! lol. and to think that car has catalytic converters too! lol

top fuel dragsters have 5000 hp because they have barely any restrictions. theyre also using more than 350 c.i. motors (or what ever the ultimate aero is). also, top fuel dragster engines are broken down and rebuilt between runs. so pretty much theyre getting a new engine each run.

Way to compare two totally different cars there. That is a street legal car that can go really really fast straight and can turn. Can your top fuel draster take a turn at a high speed? And most of the Supras that are running that much hp are actually going one big *** turbo, not twins.

I just found this thread. Actually Top Fuel cars make over 7000 Hp but that is something completely different (over 500 CI high compression and Nitromethane) . Now I love the SSC but check this thing out. Not production but 1800HP and under 2500 pounds. http://www.nelsonracingengines.com/p...es-mosler.html
