Default The new challenger

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who thinks the new challengers are ugly as sin...

The tail lights on it remind me of the robot from the day the earth stood still.

There's also nothing about the car that screams "I'm a mean muscle car and I'll tear you up." It looks more like it says "I'm a giant rectangle and I have no smooth flowing lines."

wtf switch, that's a picture of a model car.

Also, the Challenger looks about 500x's better than the new Mustang and about 1000x's better than the new Camaro.

I changed the pic, but it looks identical.

The only thing that doesn't look good on the mustang is the rear end and the tail lights. The camaro looks absolutely gorgeous with just a few tiny mods.

I mean seriously, how can you say the challenger looks 1000x better than this:

Because it is ugly.. Plus you're talking about a modded car Vs. a stock Challenger.

The Challenger is flat out the absolute best retro-modern car on the market. They nailed the look of that car, the only thing they f'ed up on is the preformance. I beat them every Friday at the strip.

I thought the ones in the first post looked retarded, but that black one is gorgeous.

They are to heavy though. It slows them down a whole lot.

No, he's problably talking about the 5.7 R/T challengers. Any newer mustang could eat them alive, especially with just a couple bolt ons. The srt's run mid 13's... and for a 425 horse car, that's pretty pathetic.

SRT's, all day.

Beat one Friday night by about 2 1/2 cars in the 1/8th and that was a bad run for me.

Yeah, the challengers definitely could have used a little diet.

I find the Challenger's name misleading.

The mustang and camaro I am kind of at a tie about, as there are things I like and dislike about both, but both are better than the challenger. Just something about it. Now these are all factory stock of course, once modded I approve of all these cars alot more.

That's pretty much the way I feel. There are qualities that I absolutely love about each of them and things that I really wish they did differently. Either way, I think they're both much better looking than the challenger.

Who the hell thought chrome mufflers would look good on the camaro?

You FAIL. I agree with what was said above.. Despite the fact that I hate Chryslers, I do agree that the Challenger is the most retro-looking of the retro-look muscle cars. Too bad they made them so heavy.

Since I've seen all three in person and really given it some thought, I think all three look good. The SRT8 Challenger would be the last one I'd pick, is a fat pig, and has a crap *** interior (same damn interior every chrystler/dodge has), but still looks good. The SS Camaro is one of the most wicked cars I've seen in a long time. The angles and body lines of that thing are super aggresive and very unique, if it was a Mustang I'd love to have it. The '10 Mustang is a big improvement, refined, more suphysticated (Sp?), and hopefully the new motors will enforce that. I think each one caters to a little bit different subset of muscle/pony car buyers.

They are not fast when they are stock. And the fact that they weight almost as much as a truck doesn't help them either. Add in to that equation that most people can't drive for their life and you get a slow *** car at the track.

JM2C...

i think the new challangers are ugly as ****.

i had high hopes for them, but every time i see one of those fatass no-chinned challangers lumbering down the road like an ocean liner i just shake my head.

i mean, its headlights stick out further than the bumper.

this is what the challanger looks like.
