This is coming from the guy who posts a video of his friend doing burnouts in the rain, in the middle of an intersection while cars are going by. You are a dumbass. You're the moron that's gotten a DUI, that was real responsible wasn't it. It's not like they were really speeding anyways.

I didn't get a DUI,

I allegedly got arrested for driving intoxicated. But my attorney was able to convince the judge i was wrecklessly driving.

anywhom, that was like 3 years ago.

Regardless, the point really isn't street racing. ofcourse i street race, and i could careless about getting caught doing it. The part that angered me is she claimed she did it with her kids in the back seat. Thats one of the most retarded things you can do.

If your going to endanger your life, thats awesome i do it everyday. but you shouldn't endagner two helpless children.

Either way you got lucky you got out of it. I'm sure you had been drinking before you got into your car and decided to drive. And you could have killed someone including a child which is more retarded then driving a little fast with a child in the car. I'm sure you'll say you weren't drinking and the cop was being a dick, but I'm sure you were. My cousin was killed by a drunk driver and he was 15.

So tell me, SPiNz, how do you sleep with your head shoved so far up your ***? It must be very uncomfortable. Not only that, but the smell must be excruciating. If being a douche was illegal, you'd have the ******* death penalty.

I generally don't have a problem with you, aside from the fact that you're an assplug. Yes, street racing is wrong, but I've seen and heard worse. I'm sure that both she and her husband will be punished accordingly, but I hardly think it will include jail time or the revoking of their licenses.

"Maybe just a poor armadillo trying to cross the street?" Hahaha, get real, man. Animals are squashed beyond recognition every day, street racing or not. Actually, all the things you mentioned that 'could have' happened while she was street racing can also happen during normal driving. Also, any passenger who is with someone who is racing is helpless, regardless of their age. I'm sure she wouldn't purposely put her children's lives in danger. You make it sound like she was on a rogue murder/suicide by street racing mission or something.

If anyone has ever driven with kids in the car, they love to egg mom/dad to go fast. Besides, a drag race to 55 MPH is not a drag race (unless it is a Geo vs Festiva). Seriously 10 miles over the limit is illegal, but it is a normal every-day thing. It was just some people having a little fun, but they got caught. It isn't like they were lined up next to each other at a flashing school crossing waiting for the 4th blink to ball out.

Well glad my weekend fiasco has kept every one entertained. Been working my *** off lately and haven't even been logging on much.

Yes we are definitely getting a lawyer!! This is bullshit and should be judged accordingly.

Thanks to everyone for calling a spade a spade or in this case a tool a tool.

As far as my kids go, I would never endanger them. Taking off from a red light harder than normal is not street racing, we never got over 50mph!! Hell, I drive faster than that on the interstate and on the country roads here. And you can "what-if" anything to death. What if heads came out of asses as easily as they went in??

That blows mustangrn. In Gulf Breeze back home, I got pulled over in my buddies STI and was told I need to "stop showboating around" he basically told me and Johnny that just because we drove nice cars doesnt give us the right to show it. What A DICK! It had nothing to do with that, I chirped the tires off a red light. Just a tiny bit. But GB cops have always been ******. So good luck, hope all goes well, And hopefully the cop gets desk duty for a month. Tell to bring a gameboy if he gets that bored instead of picking on people having a little for the most part "safe" fun

LOL. I can't believe I didn't notice this thread earlier. I must say I found it quite amusing . It could be worse though.. Around here you can get pulled over for "cruising." There are literally signs on certain roads that say "Cruising Prohibited between XX:00 and XX:00." I don't even know how they determine whether or not you are "cruising." Talk about retarded.

Cruising is illegal here in my town too. I think it's just because it's a smaller town and cruising Main St. is one of the few things to do here.

What the hell is cruising? Is that driving around without a destination?

Pretty much. Repeatedly driving on (or cruising) our Main St. can result in like a $500 fine. I think it's crazy, personally. I still do it though...No joke, there are two things to do here...cruise or go to walmart.

It's not all that small...something like 100,000 people. It just sucks. The town is about 3mi in all directions. Super Walmart, crap mall...I'm just glad that I'm 15min from Boulder. At least that's a respectable place.

Mustangrn! Hilarious story but im sorry to hear you got a ticket for drag racing. Drag racing is hard to prove unless you see the cars at WOT off the line. Are they payable offenses where you live? You talk about getting a lawyer but depending on how much the tickets are it may be cheaper to pay whatever fine the judge gives you. I cant really say because all state traffic laws are different. So by "let it rip"..... you referring to pedal to the floor from a dead stop with your husband doing the same thing next to you?

Unforntunately it's not a payable offense here in TN, we have a court date in July which I have already retained an attorney. He pretty much said the same thing about it being hard to prove from either stand point.

When I say "let it rip" I mean we got on it harder than we normally would, definitely not WOT!! We didn't break traction or chirp tires, just went fast for a few feet. The cop actually told my husband "When two cars take off from a light at the same time, we call that drag racing here in clarksville".

Yea I honestly think you'll have no problem beating the drag racing charge. Let your attourney throw some ideas out and let him do the talking in court! You werent really drag racing were you? When a traffic light turns green, what are the cars suppose to do? Go! Lol. Not even a chirp of the tires? Stress the fact that you have a MUSTANG and WOT off the line would cause spinning of the wheels....which didnt happen. IF the cop was even in position to hear/see it.

Your innocent until proven guilty. The cop is going to need substantial hard evidence to get a drag racing charge.

Thanks slim, we weren't racing but I'm sure it sounded like it since both our cars have straight pipes. When we get into the throttle just a little, it sounds like alot.
