Toyota T100
Im looking at getting a T100 4wd... 3.4 v6, manual trans... tons of miles on it... had all regular maintenance done since it was new... So, anyone know anyone with a T100? My Tacoma is being bought back by toyota due to frame perforation from rust...a problem only found on the USA made Tacomas... The T100s were all built in Japan, and do not have the frame rust isses...

To keep the thread on track, yes, I know 2 people who had T100's. Both of them are no longer running. But, those people didn't take care of them and didn't do regular maintenance, either.
Edit: And from what I know, neither one of them had frame rust issues.

I got it! 1996 T100 SR5 extended cab, manual, shift on the fly 4wd, 3.4L...every single option available in 1996...ABS...air bags...power windows, locks, tinted windows, sliding rear glass, bedliner, running boards... cruise...you get the picture. Its got 186k miles on it and it runs like a top..oil is clean as hell...and barely any rust..the frame doesnt have hardly a peep of surface rust at all. Im stoked!!!
$6580 for a 1996 with 170,000 miles...non working air conditioning, warped rotors, runs shitty sort of... yup..toyota stands behind their **** hardcore...they are giving me 150% of kbb RETAIL value in EXCELLENT condition... no matter the actual condition..
Its no wonder toyota has so many loyal followers.

you can only do it once... and its not too late... go find a 95-2000 tacoma and if thetre is a hole on the frame from rust...you can get the same deal. I didnt do it on purpose though...I noticed the hole and then found out about the buyback program.

buy one 1995-2000 model years only. as long as it runs and u can drive it to the dealership, it can be bought back for 150% kbb retail.

any hole from rust bigger than a dime. or, rusted enough to punch through the frame rail with a hammer.
