my first gear went to 60 before i put my 3.55s in my viper. My vette also went to 62mph in 1st gear.

The only reason I have a viper is because the economy is so bad that I was able to get it for a steal. The day I want to purchase a house I can sell my viper for roughly the same price I bought it for. So instead of having my money sitting in a bank which pays almost no interest now a days, i just put it into a car. if the economy ever picks up i can sell it roughly for the price I bought it for and getting all my money back or just losing a few bucks. Pretty much owning a viper for free.

I sold the z06 when i did realize having a car that expensive was a stupid move, i originally sold the vette to buy a house. But with the insecure job situation, the insane home owners insurance in florida and hurricane insurance rates are stupid expensive. Getting tied to a mortgage is not something i want to be part of right now and is not a smart move at all.

My best situation was to stay put, keep living mortage free. buy my viper cash and enjoy it, and if the economy ever does pick up and i get job security, then i'll sell the viper and buy a house and take out a mortgage.

If i lose my job I can sell my cars and not have to worry about anything.

 

I'm polish and I get emails from a Nigerian Prince every day asking me to transfer some of my money into his bank account so that he may fly over to the states and thank me personally as well as giving me a hefty reward.

Just tossing that out there.

 

You may not try coming across as bragging, but why put the prices on everything? Why can't you just say I get to live at my parents house instead of, I get to stay at my parents 1.5mil house. Or I had a 06 ZO6, but it had lots of problems, but no, it was I had a 06 ZO6 which I paid 90K for. We all know how much corvettes, vipers, mustang, lambos, lexus's and every other car costs.

You know guys, sometimes I hang out at my friends house which is worth about 2mil. Oh, I've also driven his dad's 06 viper which cost him 85K, and I also got to drive his 03 Viper with twin turbos, which cost about 35K just for the turbo kit.

Not to brag or anything.

haha, I feel you on the quality thing. I sold my 04 cause it was such a hunk of junk. What possessed me to buy another mustang, I'll never know... But, Mi Madre has a white 08 G35, feels like your floating on air... With 306 horsepower it's even more fun. It's nice not having every ****** in a civic rev at you but still knowing you have the horsies to stomp on em.

My dad also has a '68 RS/SS camaro with around 450 horsepower... Now that sir, is fun.

The only reason i posted the pricee on the vette is just to state that, you spend so much money on a car, and still get crappy quality.

You would expect with the amount of money you spend on the car, the quality qould be superb.

 

There you go again. Let me make it a point to tell everyone that I paid cash for my viper. I would also like to see you actually sell your viper sometime down the line for the same amount you paid for it. It's a Dodge, they don't hold their value, but good for you if you think a car is a much better investment seeing how the value instantly goes down once it's driven off the lot.

I bought my car used from some guy desperate to get rid of it.

I got it for way bellow market price/kbb value. And roughly $10k less then what they are selling for on ebay right now.

I am materialist. Any exotic car owner is.

No one spends so much on a car and can say they are not. If they wern't they would buy a fox body mustang and drop like 10 grand into it and be just as fast as a viper, lambo, etc.

 

Doubt it since it was silver, stock rims, and oh yeah, it was totalled. Hence why they now have a 06. Completely stock, but possibly looking at supercharging it.
