there are several almost wrecks on video at that corner, as well as a black cobra, if i recall correctly wrecking maybe 50ft sooner, in the same way.

Yeah.. That's on par with some of the nasty VW/Audi crashes that I've seen come out of Europe. Regardless of what you drive though, you're one lucky m'fer if you live through something like that.
