Didn't go to college.. Have been contemplating taking some online courses and possibly going for a bachelors degree, but honestly I don't think it really does any good.. At least not around here.
I ended up working in retail for a few years after High school, then got my Property, Casualty and Life licenses (took about a month) and sell insurance. Everyone has to have it, so I sell it.

Eh' it's decent.. Depends primarily on what company you work for and what your role in the company is.. Life insurance sells big $$ but it's also the hardest type of insurance to sell. P&C is the bread & butter of the insurance world, that's where the stability is because everyone needs car insurance and everyone needs their homes insured.. I will tell you one thing.. It's boring as hell, if you think retail is boring, just try insurance for a week.

Penn State 2011 (plus a semester)
Major: Energy Business and Finance
Plan to get a job after graduating and going back about a year later to get a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Technology..best thing is that it takes only 2 years to get this degree.
but currently, my work load consists of 20% school work and 80% bullshitting. i do nothing since im not a the Main PSU campus. i just keep telling myself 5 more weeks of this place....

Texas State 2010
Was declared as a marketing major for 3 years but I couldn't pass calc so now its a major in Sociology and a Minor in Business Administration
01FR500: That's got to be a tough major! I'm in Biology for non majors for the core requirement and that class definitely gives me problems since I haven't had a science for 4 years! haha

30 years industrial mechanic. Straight out of high school starting out as a machine operator. On the job training got me where I'm at, plus some various hours of technical training, seminars, and other training classes. I was lucky enough to enjoy running the Big Machines, and not be intimidated by them. Downside is I still have 15 years left before I can begin to think of retirement, and I'm not sure if I can hold out that long. Concrete Jungle will make a mess of you after 30+ years of factory work..

Would have been nice if I could have taken that class. I wish I had a different major almost everyday, but hopefully it will payout in the end. I have friends that have had to take the basic biology that complain, and even had to drop it more than once. And then they want to complain about how hard thier history/english/mass comm./just about anything else major is. I'd be living a stress free life if I had just about any other major I think, as long as it wasn't math, big props to those guys. Looks like mustangvsix knows what I'm talking about, with that microbiology major.

Started off as an Enterainment Art/Animation major. Went to college for a few years and kind of put it on hold. Will eventually finish up and get my Bachelors. Started working for a major healthcare organization a little more than 5 years ago. Started off in the chart room just as a job and have worked my way up. I'm currently a Sr. Business Application Coordinator. The funny thing is, this job actually required a degree, but if you know some people and can kick *** in an interview, you can make things happen.

Graduated from California State University, Hayward with a BA in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. What's lame is the University recently changed their name to California State University, East Bay.
I played baseball at Cal State Hayward up until my senior year and then decided that I needed to move on and start preparing myself for the real world. Looking back I should have played my senior year, but not playing it opened doors for me.
So during my senior year I did an internship with a California State Assemblymember. After my internship I was hired part time by the Assemblymember, then full time after I graduated. I spent about 2 1/2 years working between the district office and California State Capitol. After that I took a job with the County working on public policy issues and that's what I'm still doing.
I've always wanted to get into the private sector, but it's almost impossible to leave the public sector because my health and retirement benefits are so damn good.

I have my AS in Graphic Design and Fine Arts. I am planning on going to Flagler for some more classes. I work for Tree of Life (organic/natural foods distributor) as a Publications/Graphic Designer - designing their catalogs/ads/posters/whatever they need really.
