Default TV Question

What's a good TV brand and normal size?

I watch most of my movies on my computer, but I kind of want to convert it to my TV as well. The TV I have now is a 32 inch Samsung, tube style, I think it's from the 90's, haha. I don't even have a working remote for it, well I actually think it's the TV that messed up. I also rarely play games, kind of pointless to have an Xbox 360, but it was given to me. :/

I couldnt tell you off the bat, but you can get a 32 in LCD for around $500. My roommate bought an Insignia for that price and I thank him everyday because I have to watch TV in HD now lol.

i have a 27" lcd tv that i use for mass viewing in my dorm that i hook up to my laptop via hdmi cable. i thinks its perfect for a bed room.

i also have a 22" lcd monitor that i use for watcing movies at my desk while bullshiting on my laptop.

if i were to do it over again (750 tv + 230 monitor) i would have just bought a 42" 720p lcd.

you cant go wrong with anything between 32" and 40" tv for your room.

sounds like you want a LCD...just be prepared to spend some money for one.

My strong reccommendation

PLASMA = Panasonic
LCD = Sharp.

Samsung does both well, but not quite as good as either IMO. Defaintly good products.

I've got a Sharp 37". Dam thing is as big as a stove, but it performs well for a non flat/ wide screen/ living room type TV.

I like the Vizio's.

And the best thing to do if you want a good tv is rent to own, dude.
You can make pretty cheap monthly payments on a good hdtv. An hdtv will make your 360 so much better, too.

If you need to rent to own a tv, then you don't need a nice tv.You can make cheap monthly payments on a brand new tv from a store, but buy something you can afford.

I'm all about the Vizio's. Probably not the best tv on the market, but I like the two I have.

Well, only way you can do that around here is to put something on lay-away at target. Walmart no longer does that I dont think. But when you put something on lay-away, you gotta wait to finish the payments before you can enjoy it.

I shoulda ****** rented-to-own this ****** laptop........700 dollar piece of ****.

who the **** rents-to-own! if you have to do this than you need to take a money managing class so you dont get scammed any more. Rent to own and fast cash stores should all be blown up...they all rape you on interests rates. the suckers who fall for these scams are the same people who make minimum credit card payments.

rent-to-own...GTFO

haha, so true. The last time I saw a rent to own center, was when I was living in SoCal and it was in the heart of the hispanic part of town.

+1 I'll probably never own any other brand of TV as long as these Vizio's are being made.. I have a 42" Plasma in my living room and it's pretty f'ing sweet for under $700.00.

Dude, my parents rent to own all their tvs for their bar, and house.
They never complain. And they say its damn cheap.
Ive never actually done that before, but damnit.
I might.

HOWEVER.
I would never rent to own rims. Ive actually seen a couple places down here that do that, and they're such shitty, cheap rims, and they look like they belong on a ****** raised up 60 something impala, or....
Ghetto blaster as some people might call them. If I get rims, they're coming from AM.
