Where have all the......
Mustangs gone?? I swear, 6 months ago when I was in no financial position to even consider buying another car they were everywhere.. Now I can hardly find anything and I've been trolling allll over the place, svtoa, svtp, mustangforums, auto trader, vehix, cars, etc. Hell, there are hardly any even at the local stealerships and only about 5 in the latest issue of wheels & deals..
WTF is going on??
Let me know if you guys come across any low priced 97-03 5-speed GT's.. Looking for a fun weekend project car.. (Yes, I'm probably going to keep the Stratus, it's paid for and a better than average DD.)

I'm looking for something with relatively high miles, if I run across a low-priced low-mile car I obviously wouldn't balk at that, but I want something to get my hands dirty with.. I thought about going with something newer, but then I'll have to put a lot of miles on it and kill whatever value it had when I bought it. Right now the smartest thing I can do is keep my paid off Stratus and find a medium priced toy..
And I know what you're thinking Chris.. "Fox" sorry, could never get into that body style, just doesn't work for me.. lol

Of course you wont find as many 99/04 models on the lots because the 05/08 models were probably overproduced from the factory. No one saw the financial crisis the big 3 automakers are going through coming. Demand for the 05 was relativeley high in 05. But nobody is buying new cars right now. There are plenty of 05/09 models on the lot. Too many to keep anything as old as an 04 hanging around.. And in another 4 to 5 years it will be the same for 05/09 models. 2010/ whenever the decide to redesign again will be the main used cars. If Mustangs last that long..

Just depends really, I've been approved for a good loan at a decent % rate.. It's either gotta be really cheap with high-miles or fairly low-priced with extremely low miles. I'm being super picky about it because I don't need to sell the Stratus right now in order to finance the other deal..
Yours was actually one of the first that I thought of, PM me what you're thinking... lol

Well, that can be said for any vehicle. Unless it's a classic and you keep it stock and keep the miles off of it, it will never be worth what you paid for it, let alone what you put into it.

If you mod a vehicle you almost never "get back what you put into it." Especially in this economy, it's nearly impossible. I feel bad for everyone trying to sell cars the way it is right now.. I had my car listed for about a month and only got 3 Emails and one person came to look at it, then offered me 2,600 less than I had the thing listed..

A car is worth what you can sell it for.
I can say that my car is worth 6k but if I can't sell it for that it's not worth that much

My car would probably sit on a lot listed for about $11,000 and I'm sure some moron would pay that for it.. It's fully loaded with every factory option available in '03..

And in reponse to that guy's line in his ad 'you will not find a better cared for Mustang'. Bitch, please! I love mine more than I love my fiance and anyone who comes within 3 feet of it gets threats of severe bodily harm. You could eat off of any surface on the interior of my car, it is so clean and I'm not kidding about that.

Throw 2k at it for a paint job and you still have a 05 gt (color of your choice) for 17500
Just goes to show how the michigan economy is going. That guy probably bought the car when things were good and got laid off
